I'm ashamed to admit it.... my nearly 20 year old cat loves nothing more than 'bin day' as she scavenges around and goes in other people's bins. In my area in the UK, we have food recyling bins. Though they have a sort of a locking system, not many people do them up correctly. With Tinker doing her rounds at night, when I leave for work early in the morning, I find a number of bins toppled over and contents all over the place. I have caught her in the act but I still blame it on the foxes (to who ever complains!)

Our cat Sheba is refusing to come in this morning- must be something to do with all the sun outside today. She is a white short hair with one blue eye/one green. She is 13 years old and still chases her tail and birds :)
How I choose to feel is how I am...I will not lose my faith, It's an inside job today.

Thesefurry babies need a home. We already have 5 plus we care for a couple of feral cats.

Tommy, the first one, hung out with our feral cats until he got very sick. It was obvious that nobody was going to take him to the vet - he may have been abandoned or the owner just didn't care. In any case I took him to the vet and spent close to $300.00 to fix him up. I couldn't let him die nor could I have him euthanized. Anyway he is stuck at my office now with very little companionship. He can't come home with me because he has feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) which is feline aids. So if he were to bite or maybe scratch one of my cats they would be infected. It is not contagious to dogs or people or anything other than cats. He is a great cat. In this photo he is sound asleep on my desk.

I found Spirir this past Saturday on my bike ride. I heard a very loud meowing coming from a cemetary and found her at the back of the cemetary high up in a tree. Another cat was at the base of the tree and it looked like this cat had chased her up there. It was not the momma cat. I couldn't coax her down so I finally decided to ride my bike back and get my truck thinking I could climb up on my truck and maybe reach her (that's how high she was). When I reached for my bike I saw something out of the corner of my eye and she was fallng to the ground. She landed on her back but appeared to be unhurt. None of the people at the neighboring houses would claim her and I couldn't leave her there alone. She is so small. Anyway she needs a home too.

Awww---hope you find homes for them! My son started taking care of a stray cat who ended up having kittens last week! (only 2 though) I will probably take in at least one of the kitties and have to get his cat spayed too since he and his roommates are college guys and probably won't get around to doing that!

  • My sweet little angel kitty killed her 2nd mouse last night. Such a good girl.

    Cute story...

I found a cat hanging outside our house, it came over to me, so I picked it up, petted it for a bit. It seemed like a nice enough animal so I took it inside to meet my mouse destroyer who I have adopted as my daughter.

They looked at each other for a couple of seconds, my girl hissed, swatted at the stray cat with a left jab, and made a scream that resembled Apache Indian war cries as they mass murdered white people. The stray headed for the door with lightning in his ass and I held my mini-lion back with my foot to keep her from completing the destruction of a helpless kitty.

I still need to post that pic of her.

Love all the pictures of peeps kitties, I am a kitty person. I had an amazing cat called Sooty from the age of 5 until he had a stroke when I was 19. I still miss him sometimes, he was mischievous, naughty, aggressive and lovable!

One of my cats, Kali, hurt her paw somehow. Npt sure how but noticed it today that she was barely using it and when she did she was limping. Unfortunately my vet is closed on Sunday. Thought something was wrong yesterday with her because pretty much all day she was just laying around not doing too much (Not normal for her). Don't think it's broken, I think she just sprained it or something like that. Not in much pain unless she puts pressure on it.

Awwwww!!! looks like a chubbier version of my boy Riley :D

Speaking of which... the little shit ventured into next door but one's garden yesterday and got himself into a spat with the cat that lives there... he has a little cut on his ear and a bruised ego. I had to rescue him  Mind you, our cats are so dim, the other cat probably just sat and watched as Riley shut his eyes and blindly threw his paws and claws around and caught his own ear

This is Eddie. He is about 3.5 yrs old now. He has a really annoying habit of wanting attention during the night, and takes to biting my nose, licking my face and/or chewing my hair to get it...

And this is Mookie, he's about 1 and VERY fat  He tries to eat everything! ...note Mookie is pink in one of the photos as he rolled around in chalk that my kids had been drawing with outside
