I'm sure you're drinking a lot these days with the way your baseball team is playing

Won two in a row for the first time in a long time and if the season ended today, they'd be in the playoffs, unlike a certain team. ;)

not comparing the teams, we all know the phils stink. would be really tough if a team blows a lead as large as what the yanks had a few months ago.

you read keith law's article about the yanks future? I can post it in yanks thread if you want

Yeah, I have no doubt they'll be in though. Not terribly worried. They can only play so poorly for so long and Pettitte is coming back.

Yeah, post it if you don't mind. Is that the organizational rankings?

Agree that Dogfish Head is somewhat overrated. Although 90 Min IPA and Indian Brown Ale are spectacular.

    Favorite American breweries:
    -Stoudt's
-Southern Tier (I think they have a pumpkin out which surely is better than DFH's)
    -Great Lakes
-Odells (can only get in Colorado)
    -Victory

I have bought one four-pack of pumpkin beer and no Oktoberfest beer. I'm worn out on the fall seasonals.

You can get six packs at Wegman's & Whole Foods (Plymouth Meeting or Devon), pretty reasonable. Or just drive to Delaware or NJ. And quit your damn whining. ;)

certain things about PA annoy me. the stop lights on the on-ramps of the blue route (ridiculous, nnecessary if people knew how to merge)...liquor/beer stores (shouldn't have to drive a half hour to buy six packs)...paying for state car inspection (sitting at dealership now waiting for this to be done)...howard/vick..etc

Rogue Brewery puts out some great shit

The Northern Liberties brew shop just got some Rogue clone kits. If I don't get this dogfish head book in the mail today, we'll probably be doing a Rogue.

I went to a Rogue brewhouse in Oregon. Don't know what it is, their stuff doesn't do that much for me. I don't get the Dead Guy Ale - I find it mediocre. Had a porter from them that was way too hoppy for the style, out of balance.

If you haven't tried Southern Tier, go for a mixed case or something. All their shit's awesome, esp the 2XIPA.

ryan 55, chase 52 abs with runners in scoring position in 2012 so almost exact comparision.

jk_livin said he thought he heard ryan was hitting over .300 with runners in scoring position - just verifying thouse numbers. no point to be made.

    Chooch is fucking awesome.

They said R6 has something like 32 RBIs in the last 35 games, but that wouldn't have any effect on the teams record of course.

    Very strange season.

So a couple months ago I said to my wife, when we were like 30 games out of the playoffs, "I bet we make it close enough for them to send out a playoff invoice."

Well, lo & behold today came the playoff invoice.

Div Series Game 2 (we would get first two at home, then go on road for last 3), NLCS Game 3, World Series Game 2. Not too bad. Too bad we only have a "5.0%" chance of making the playoffs.

fucking astros and their stupid screaming (whistling?) fans. this series sounds like it's being played at a high school field. atmosphere could not be worse. the al can have them.

at least the dodgers won. i felt we needed to to be 2 back by end of weekend to have a decent shot. at least that is still possible...
