Yeah, it was probably position players I was referring to. The NL is cute ;)

it's the real game, fucker. ;)

I think the AL is on to something. Maybe they can try a lineup of DH's 1-9 and just have 9 other guys to play the field. We wouldn't want any position players hurting themselves running the bases,:lol::lol:

Yeah just make it like football.

What's cute is that 314 feet to right field thing.

He doesn't really have very good stats this year but the team's record with the R6 is much better than without him. I can see both arguments, honestly.

He's infuriating to watch much of the time, but somehow he's an integral part of the team.

I hope we don't have to blather on about this for 8 pages now. We should just sit back and enjoy what could be the franchise's polar opposite of 1964 (or 2nd such instance if you include 2007).

    ).

zero correlation between the team's recent run and the blob being back. just look at the pitching numbers (esp the bullpen) and the production out of the 4 'hole' in the lineup

For shits and giggles, I think the nerd in me is going to run a regression analysis to find out. I'll post the results when I got it all wrapped up.

season in general has gotten pretty awesome over last two weeks. All AL divisions gonna be wild...NL WC.

I love this time of year

Only 3 Yankee Stadium specials this year

Edit: What is even more shocking to me is that he has 4 that would be out of all 30, 1 with 27 and 1 with 26. Dude is awesome, that's a fact.

I hope there's a 5 way tie for the 2nd wildcard. For anyone who says it wasn't a good idea having a second wildcard are out of their minds.

do it. make sure you include the impact of howard's 80 K's in 207 ABS this season (unbelievably, that is not a typo)...39%. yikes

Crazy that the Phils are only 3 out of the second WC. There's nothing like meaningful September baseball. I've got Sale-Verlander and Bears-Packers to deal with tonight. My head might explode.

    Where does it say that?

Wouldn't you say that 3 out of 14 homers is quite a high percentage? 21%.

The last column, # of parks. Awesome website. His percentage that would be out of all 30 is higher so I can live with that.

I thought I saw a stat on tv the other night that showed him batting .300 with RISP. If thats true, then we have that going for us.

I know it's still a long shot but is there another pitcher in the system that could possibly go more than 3 innings v. the worst team in baseball?

Did anyone see the sign by a young girl that was obviously going through chemo treatments? It read " If I can beat cancer, you can beat the Astros." You go girl!!!

Cloyd was on short rest and I kind of thought he was seriously unlucky that inning. Two bloopers and a fly ball that would not have been a homer in about, oh, maybe 27 ballparks. And he's only going to make 2 more starts.

Diekman was really disappointing. All those close games in a row started taxing the good pieces of the bullpen.

It's baseball. Sometimes you lose to AAA teams. I think the 1998 Yankees lost to the Royals once or twice. Unfortunately there's not much room for error here.

aumont was brutal last night. can't be counted on to protect leads if you're going to walk everyone. throw fucking strikes

can't entirely blame the bullpen though. they left a shit ton of guys on base.

last night was a flashback to june. can't lose games like that. now they have to win the next three

Eh, Dogfish Head makes a lot of good beer. Punkin wasn't my favorite pumpkin beer last year but I like it. Other than that though, I don't know how you can knock a brewery that makes 90 minute, one of my favoite IPAs. Plus stuff like Worldwide Stout, Bitches Brew, Chicory Stout, Noble Rot, 120 and a few others. All fucking awesome beers.

Stouts are my favorite, just not a huge fan of the dogfish brews for whatever reason. Maybe I will have to give them another shot. Will have to pick some up in maryland or NJ since PA still thinks it's 1920 and won't sell six packs

I like them, I think they do a good job with IPAs and Stouts. Some of their experimental shit isn't great but overall, I think they are good and pretty innovative.

Yeah, I don't drink a whole lot of it because you can only get cases and they are so expensive compared to other stuff.

I think I am trying to brew a 60 minute clone this weekend. Hoping the Dogfish Head brewbook comes in the mail in time.
