Nice. We hit Union Trust a couple of weekends ago. Was pretty good.

Gonna be at Le Virtu on Friday...never been there so I'm looking forward to that.

Have you heard me talk about that place? One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Food from... Abruzzo! :D Have fun! My wife needs to take me there for my birthday.

Nope. Gonna be there for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Looking forward to it. What do you usually get when you're there? The potato gnucchis with rabbit ragu sounds pretty awesome

Don't think I've been there since they got the new chef - my wife didn't want to go when she was pregnant because she couldn't eat 2/3 of the menu, and we haven't gotten back there recently. Everything I've ever had there was awesome, except one time at a tasting they had I thought some chicken was a little bit dry. We usually get the mixed salumi (affetati misti) and some pastas, which are all great.

yeah, they are saying lat strain. pretty much a relief

their biggest problems are still the offense and bullpen, which will only be magnified with hallday being out

I thought they said his shoulder has been hurting him, no?

I can see how the lat is impacted by the shoulder but seems like a strange diagnosis, it is the Phillies though.

Yikes. Just hope he comes back healthy for the stretch drive. Still plenty of good pitching on this team to keep them in the race. Does anyone really think the Nats are going to run away with it?

If I go to an Oswalt game I would boo the shit out of him. He should just start his own construction company.

And to answer your question, no. One of the few things the phils have going for them is that the NL is complete garbage

Maybe not garbage - at least the NL East, with 5 teams over .500. (albeit they are playing other NL teams) Just that nobody else in the division is really good, just everybody's is decent. And, yeah the rest of the league sucks - won't be hard to get the Wild Card.

    Ah, you bastard.

Took five months, but it is really starting to get fun now. Didn't know if I was going to make it after the first 3 months. I'm ready for round 2 (and hopefully 3)

I gets pretty wild when they start moving around. The big guy is quite literally a wrecking ball. Don't know what I'm gonna do when they're both running around.

Ahh if I could only time-travel back to the moment when I took Halladay with my 2nd pick in my fantasy league.

my team's alright without him. But I was the first to take a pitcher and chose Halladay over Verlander and Kershaw simply on the basis that he's a Phillie. And that's why I suck at fantasy sports.

just add him to amaro's list, which is getting pretty damn long

watch him sign hamilton to a huge deal this offseason. I think that would send us all over the edge

I know W-L record for pitchers is a stupid stat. BUT. Cliff Lee needs a win tonight. Pitch a shutout and hit a homer if you have to - it's almost June.

Is Dave Bush gonna get the call up?

your neighborhood juggler doesn't normally bet on baseball, but when he does, he normally wins. all over the money line last night. couldn't imagine young clifton going into june withou a win. maybe next time. still that was a big w last night.

i say screw the people who have bailed on the phils so quickly. screw the people who have written them off. embrace this underdog role people! for all the negative shit that has gone down this year, they are not dead yet. 13-7 since the mets debacle a few weeks ago and they've quietly scored the 2nd most runs in the month of may. :shh: :shh:

tough road yet to hoe in the next few weeks...but this stretch of games against teams with .500 or better record has started off pretty well.

    GO. PHILS.

one more thing--contreras' 8th inning will be overlooked but was encouraging
