Then Papelface had 2 outs & 2 strikes and everyone's standing & cheering. I was still sitting in my seat sulking that we're stuck with his ugly face for 4 years. Then he gets torched for the bomb and I stood up and started yelling how much I hate him and how much he sucks and you're all idiots that you don't know that already.

Honestly I was, on some level, happy that he failed. I feel no connection to this team. It's loaded with shitty veterans unloaded from teams that we hate, the manager is an idiot who has no idea what to do with a team that doesn't score 6 runs a game, and our best home grown player is going to leave after the season is over.

    I hear ya, Fixer.

At least I went into the park and didn't drink at xcomcast live the whole time. :P

I'd rather give my money to comcast than the phillies. I have zero regrets for not using my tickets. zee-row

    F this team.

now excuse me, I need to put my saturday tix on stubhub.

So yeah, I'm talking a little shit but there is no chance in hell every seat was accounted for tonight, zero. We went with 16 people from work and scalpers wouldn't take $10 a ticket for our extra 4 an hour before the game, tickets were $33 face. All they wanted was flyers tickets, the word phillies and they turned around, never seem that shit

I love baseball and the phils, so I will still go to games once in a while. I have had season tix since 2003 though and that is coming to an end if amaro is still around.

who would have guessed he'd be a better player than GM? unbelievable

Phillies will always be my favorite team. Trust me, I have sat in the stands for plenty of horrendous games well before this team became competitive. I'm just giving up my season tix. I will still hit a few games a year, but I'm not giving them my money in advance so they can waste it on shitheads like papelbon and howard...instead of deserving guys like hamels.

Well it's been a nice run. 2003-2011. Four years of knocking on the door to the playoffs, finally making it in 2007, the World Series runs of 2008-2009, the incredible regular seasons of 2010-2011. I'm satisifed with that and ready to accept this as a shitty year. I'll never be like a post-2004 Red Sox fan; thinking I'm entitled to World Championships just because we FINALLY won one and have a huge payroll....though many of our own fans have become like this.

No necessarily. It just seems that a lot of Red Sox fans lived by the mantra of "I just want to see it happen once." But then it happened twice and suddenly Red Sox fans believed that this was THEIR TIME. "WE HAVE PASSED THE YANKEES!" What a joke. See at least as a Phillies fan, I know where we stand: we have the 4th worst overall record in baseball history, our fans are obnoxious, and we won just two World Series despite being around forever. That's what we are.

Love the pen nickname. Last line makes my blood boil

    •Crap to Pap
It’s the Bridge to Lidge, only 157 times worse.

Jon Papelbon is having a nice season, Jordany Valdespin or not. Everyone else in the Phillies’ ‘pen, well, can’t really have the same said about them. Peripherally, David Herndon has done some good work, but he’s hurt; Stutes is also hurt; Schwimer and Savery have been up and optioned already; Antonio Bastardo and Chad Qualls are walking too many guys, Jose Contreras is still old and Brian Sanches is gasoline.

This says nothing of Kyle Kendrick, yet to earn about $6 million of the $7.5 million owed him over the course of the 2012-13 seasons. As tweeted earlier last week, since his debut season of 2007, only two other Major League pitchers with at least 400 innings under their
belts have a lower K/9 than Kendrick: Paul Byrd (who last pitched in the Majors in ’09) and Aaron Cook. He was ineffective in his first start in place of Lee, good enough in the next two and an absolute disaster in relief Wednesday. Kendrick’s deal is, to me, the most puzzling move of the past offseason, and certainly doesn’t look to be on the way to being one of the more valuable ones.

    •Cole Hamels update
Cole Hamels has a 7.33 strikeout-to-walk ratio. That leads all qualifying Major League
    pitchers. He remains a free-agent-to-be.

There wasn't another relief pitcher available for $7.5mil over 2 years other than KK? Why????

I will be turning the tv off or leaving the game once the starting pitcher exits from now on.
