nice of the cards to give the phils a run.

unfortunately that's the only way this team can score.

the one armed flail is out in full force tonight

when are chase and shane coming back?

i feel like i'm watching the iron pigs with a few phillies sprinkled into the lineup.

earliest for utley is friday. victorino should be back tomorrow I believe.

Even so, that's not enough. Too much AIDS in the lineup and bullpen.

No way this team is winning 100 games

oh boy here we go again.

would you really be upset if they didn't win 100 games??

plug a couple all stars in the lineup, pick up at a bat at the deadline, i don't see how they won't be fine. i could care less about a 100 games (i'm assuming your kidding about that).

I was kidding. Some here said 100 wins easy :? (I'm on record with 93)

I agree with you...just upgrade the offense and win the division. I'll take my chances in the playoffs with their rotation. Long way to go. Hopefully this is the low point of the season. Just find a way to get to playoffs

I don't think Utley will make a major impact this year. I have a bad feeling about him for some reason. This Beltran trade makes sense as long as we don't have to give up a ton. Shit there better bringing up Joe Savery then playing that stiff in Rf. Calling Dom Brown get the FUCK UP HERE NOW.

utley at 80% is better than a 100% valdez and orr combo. that will help.

    a healthy victorino will help.

keeping dane sardinio a minimum of 30 miles from the ball park will help.

plugging dom brown in right and letting him sink or swim while platooning ibanez/franciscos/mayberry in left should help too.......plus i've assumed since the winter, that we'd upgrade one of the corner spots at the deadline.

they just need 3 to 4 runs a game with this rotation. pitchers are giving up about 3 runs a game. obviously the last couple weeks have been rough but for the year they are averaging 4 runs with all the injuries. get some guys back, you have to figure that will increase.

It's time for my periodic rant on how managers have been programmed to not use the closer in a tie game on the road, preferring to lose the game with the shitty 4th & 5th relievers instead. Fucking closers- I hate the whole goddam concept.

he sure as hell should have brought Madson in instead of Romero. need a strikeout there. Madson was your best option even if it left you with no closer. Can't believe Baez is still in the majors. i guess his contract means we keep him around but sucks. losing streaks like this happen, especially when your top pitchers don't come through with leads late in games, thus why i was annoyed earlier in the week. could see this coming a mile away. this team will be fine as long as the pitchers stay healthly. oswalt looked much better than antipated last night. was good to see.

    Not even worth a reply.

I know there have been similar conversations about the lack of offense in 2008 (this year it was the inconsistency) and 2010, so it's not time to panic. We'll get it fixed.
