Just got back from the game. Was kinda worried after the first two innings, but then our offense showed up and everything turned out great, except the last few innings were kinda bad.

A few people here will enjoy this. A good interview with one of the Yankees best beat writers about pretty much everything there is to being on the beat. Long but great read.

I got the mets feed so I didn't hear that. Sarge is great.

It's the third or fourth time pelfrey has pulled something like that vs the phils over the years. I've hated him ever since he yelled at my boy utley a couple of years ago.

Someone should tell pelfrey that he blows. Then beat his ass

Phils locked up that carlos tocci character. $759K signing bonus...by far the most they've ever given an international amateur. Good shit

another drinking league victory...clinch the division title with a loss from the 2nd place team (3 games to play) or win (2 games to play). kind of like the phils.

i know Fixer loves to rant about overuse of Stutes but below article from todays Inquirer would suggest he is wrong. Lot less innings this year than last year for Stutes. Sure there will be some kind of spin...

Yeah, I looked on BR to see if that was true and it is. I know I read a few times that he had already thrown more innings this year than he had before in a season, but I guess that was wrong. The misuse of him this year has still been outrageous.

Next week this time the Fixer will be at the airport getting ready to head to wisconsin

This hurricane stuff is getting crazy. There are some seeds on the weather channel...gonna have to watch this more often

got to admit i would have thought Stutes has been overused as well. Interesting to see his innings.
yes hurricane is crazy stuff. obvioulsy phils won't be playing saturday and sunday. going to be interesting to see how they make up all these games that are going to be rained out. I think the Phils have only one more scheduled off day for the season. and the blonde chick on last night on weather channel was smoking hot.

Is there any talk of moving weekend games up? They are going to have a very busy September.

    Not rooting for Doc???

Plenty could go wrong. Only 2 of the last 25 teams that won 100 games won the World Series. :o

well ... obviously, i'm not a fan of the phils but i loathe the red sox and yanks even more ... haha ... having said that ... definitely rooting for doc ...

i do think the offense could pose problems in the playoffs ... especially against red sox/yanks ...

I'm more worried about the Brewers' and Braves' pitching (and Giants if they make it, obviously). Yanks & Sox lineups are very scary, but I'm not worried about their pitching. Phils usually hit CC pretty well, and have a history with Beckett.

ya ... but if it does become a slugfest ... yanks/red sox are way stronger on the back end ...

We are clearly in trouble if any playoff games become slugfests - esp vs. Brewers, Yanks, Red Sox, Rangers. Obviously the pitching staff this team has is made to win 2-1 games in the playoffs.

I'd guess this team will barely play above .500 in September with all the rescheduled games and 6-man rotation. Hopefully they can regroup and get on a roll in October.
