I don't think he's an upgrade over mayberry. Let's hope that one doesn't happen

I know...I dont want to be "stuck" with nothing but crap at the end of all of this

RAJ usually gets what he wants

I think he has Wade in a choke hold right now

    haha.

I think RAJ will make the pence thing happen as well. will be interesting for sure...the braves are being linked to all of the same RH bats as the phils. Next few days are pretty fucking important

hate to say it, but losing to the giants tonight could be a good thing. especially if the lineup looks as bad as it did last night

It was a good move. Chase just didn't get the job done.

bunting in the first inning is pussy baseball. I would NEVER do that with a guy on base (leading off the inning is a different story).

Especially with kendrick pitching. Just completely idiotic

Utley looks like howard tonight. 2 of the worst ABs you will ever see him have

    I hate bunting.

    Not watching though.

Couldn't disagree more, trying to score early against a stud pitcher is huge. Bunting a hitter who has never seen Timmy before was 100% the correct move.

you don't give away outs when a guy like kendrick is pitching. you try to score as many runs as you can. it's baseball 101

I can see where Fixer is coming from. It's not like you're gonna win 1-0. But I think you need to take advantage of every opportunity to score against a pitcher like this.

ESPECIALLY IN THE FIRST INNING!!!!!!! WITH KENDRICK PITCHING!!!!!!!!!!

it's beyond comprehension that someone would defend this move. leadoff guy on first, no outs, and you bunt???????? horrible. just horrible. my high school coach would have benched me for pulling something that stupid

exactly what? you know you don't win the game if you're leading after the first inning right? you are going to have to score more than one run with this turd pitching for the phils. so you try to score as much as possible...ie DONT GIVE AWAY OUTS!!

I need to calm down. this lineup has gotten to me. or maybe it's the giants. or both.

Talk about misquoting, no one in the world has ever said an RBI is easy to get. Hitting a 95 mph baseball is difficult in general. RBI are however, not a good way to judge a players ability.

forming conclusions based on 3 at bat sample sizes is always brilliant

•The Phillies have been Pence's most serious suitor and the Braves have a high level of interest as well, according to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. The Angels aren't seriously pursuing Pence and the Astros may be reluctant to trade Pence to the Reds and Pirates, two NL Central rivals.

•The Phillies and Braves continue pursuing Pence and the Indians are still involved, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (Twitter links). There's a better than 50/50 chance of a deal. The Rangers aren't seriously pursuing Pence, however.
