I hear ya. I could totally be talking out of my ass here but I think an environment like philly, where he knew his half assed shit wouldn't fly, would bring out the best in him. When I was at the WS games in 08 I remember thinking how awesome I thought he was gonna be. He made everything look so easy. And that bomb he hit vs boston in the playoffs (same year) sticks in my mind too. I don't think that has landed yet

The thing is though, its not like he is playing for some terrible team. He has been playing with a pretty damn good team for the past few years with a very good players manager that doesn't take much shit. Granted the team is young, but it seems like it's a pretty motivated team in general. Granted, he would have some more veterans around but it's not like he has been playing in Pittsburgh or some shit like that.

No doubt the dude has insane potential though.

If there is rain possibly it could get ugly drinking all night in the concourse

This happened a couple years ago. They last-called in the 3rd inning. I had had 5 beers.

    Whole stadium was lit up.

He had that major shoulder surgery (in '09 I believe). He has openly said that f'd him up for a solid year.

He'd drive me crazy, but I'd do it.

5-20 in the WS. I just remember being scared shitless every time he came up...and especially when he reached base (he also had 3 SBs in one of the games). He'd instantly become their best defensive OFer. Love how shallow he plays.

I know, I know - it takes intelligence and strategy. Well, plus, watching your team get cut up by a surgeon. ;)

The Detroit setlist is absolutely insane. What the fuck did they do to get that?

Yea really. Off He Goes and Immortality. I think Jake made up for it though.

If one of those stupid SABR stats accounted for DPs he would've had one of the worst World Series ever. (prob along with Howard in 2009)

You're crazy. Then again, I've seen springsteen a billion times, so I'm used to the real thing. Saturday's setlist was a letdown...especially if you compare it to some of the other shows thusfar.

I'm just sayin that if we find out that they can't afford Hamels long-term, which they should be, I would make that move.

If they can't afford hamels, then a certain someone becomes even more enraged about a certain existing contract.

If they can't afford Hamels then they need to raise ticket prices.
