Really gotta cut down on the K's tonight. Against Lincecum is one thing, but against the bullpen - I think the last 6 outs were strikeouts. Hard to get any kind of rally going like that.

J-Roll hitting right tonight - hopefully he gets going. He looks awful.

They said on the post game since game 1 of the WS last year Howard 38 AB's...21 K's

Just not acceptable the way this team is not putting the ball in the play

How about steal a base once in awhile ?

WTF is on their closers face ?? Just For Men paying him ??

Good point about the baserunning. These pitchers are notoriously poor at holding runners on. Gotta make something happen in these types of game. If we keep waiting for the 3-run homer we'll still be waiting in November while we watch the Giants in the World Series.

Buck called it a shoe polish beard.

I usually don't nit-pick with things but now Howard was on the sidelines with GOOSE during the Eagles game yucking it up....plus he did Letterman earlier

Stay fuckin focused especially when he's struggling so bad

Yeah, I don't think i would be a fan of seeing Arod on the sideline of a Giants game or something the day of a huge playoff game.

cuz he's playing for the opposing team now. He got a nice reception last night when he was annpunced. Saem with D-Mac the other week. When he came on the field he got a nice round of applause then when he started playing we booed him.

So you boo people just because they are now on a different team? I could never imagine booing matsui.

I personally wouldn't boo Burrell I liked him. Now Rolen or JD Drew is a different story ;)

I don't get the booing of burrell or rolen, but it's philly (JD should be booed at all times)

I'm not touching the howard stuff. big win tonight, oswalt pitched his balls off.

why the fuck ibanez was in the lineup tonight vs a lefty I will never understand. he cost them game 1. and I hate rollins in the 6 hole.

hamels sucks in day games...phils got railroaded with that start time on tuesday

I noticed that, too. I also noticed that andres torres might just be the worst leadoff hitter in the history of baseball. he hasn't done jack since the playoffs began.

Well, you can't give Burrell a standing ovation every time he comes to bat right? So I guess everyone just needs some kind of special reaction, as opposed to indifferent silence. I don't know.

It was awesome to see Howard get that double off Sanchez. Good sign. Like him or not, we need him to come up big to win #3 (talking in Yankees tongue).

I had an all-time drive home last night. Wiggled out of the Novacare lot rather quickly, shortcutted around to the Platte Bridge, used 291 to skip messy I-95 merge, and rode Blue Route right lane to freedom. Kind of my masterpiece of drives home. :D

    Also, I'm now 5-0 in NLCS games. ('93 Game 1, '08 Games 1 & 2, '09 Game 3, '10 Game 2)

4 down 7 to go. Great effort by Oswalt last night. Only one bad pitch to Ross. Great to see Charlie leave him in there in the 8th. Rollins hitting 6 against righties is a disaster but hopefully last night gets him going at least a bit. Watching this team offensively is maddening sometimes. the number of K's is terrible. Very professional hitting by Polanco tonight. Thought Bochy screwed up walking Utley intentionally - played into a big inning with that walk. I think you got to take your shot against Utely and hope you only give up 1 run there. Expect a good outing from Cole. Think we split the next 2 and the series turns on Halladay Vs. Lincecum in game 5. Expect a much better effort from Halladay in game 5.

Fixer - as for booing Scott Rolen. Remember he shit on the Phill fans when he left. F him. and he is a choking dog. Agree on Burrell though, not sure why we are booing him. No reason to cheer for him but no need to boo at this point either. For a guy the fans and media ripped he always acted in a classy manner. Actually good to see him being productive (although not against us hopefully).

Glad Cholly took my advice and started the runners last night :D

No one has mentioned this that I saw...did anyone else see Chooch wincing when he was swinging last night ?

    Looks like he pulled something

the rbi's should come. i mean he is the career franchise leader in such category.

and his playoff batting average is .110 higher than the rest of the team's right now....with a .429 obp. i don't think there's anything to be concerned about there at this point...
