    Fruitvale Station http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fruitvale_station/

Biopic of the last day of Oscar Grant ... troubled young father in Oakland who was attempting to turn his life around when he was shot by the police ... film offers a great glimpse of how hard it can be for kids who go astray to turn their lives around ... acting is top notch ... and the film moves nicely ...

The Dictator. A few good laughs but nothing compared to Borat. I was not expecting anything special though, so overall I was happy with it (free through friend's Apple tv).

    Lincoln. Pretty good.

Daniel Day-Lewis is amazing. So much fucking dialogue and long, though. I wanted to blow my brains out.

Did you watch the Redux version? That is really looooong.

Yeah, I watched the Redux version and holy fuck it was long. I mean, it's a 3 hour movie anyway, but the redux adds another 45 minutes to it. Still a great movie though. Love how Coppolla tells a story in this and the Godfather movies. The cinematography is just great. Great acting too.

It was good but I actually felt a bit disappointed at the end. It's one that could easily wait for dvd, it doesn't have to be seen in the cinema. Maybe I was expecting too much after Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead...

isn't that out on Friday? or did you see an advanced screening? I want to see it and We're The Millers. That looks pretty funny as well.

I think the US has a different release date. It was out last weekend here in Australia, and mid-July in the UK. I did enjoy it but I think I just expected too much from it after the other 2. I'll probably enjoy it more next time without the expectations. We're The Millers looks funny, we'll probably check that out too.

Yeah, he really is the movie. Also liked Tommy Lee Jones. It's a very talky movie and it's hard to pull that off so I think it takes somebody like Day-Lewis. But it could have been shorter.

It's an amazing movie, and there are a few added bits here and there that I appreciate in the Redux, but I really think the whole loooong plantation scene was totally unnecessary.
