Love that movie! ... Jamie Lee Curtis's last hurrah before resorting to poop yogurt commercials.

Really good movie, but damn it is disturbing.

Love Seven (I wish I could comfort Brad! ). Just watched Almost Famous and American Psycho that I had DVR'd. Going to see West of Memphis this afternoon.

I want to talk about this movie with my SIL, who is a recovering alcoholic, to see if she thinks it rings true. From the little I understand, addicts have to hit rock bottom before they will get sober and rock bottom means different things to different people.

I really couldn't figure out which way the movie was going to go, if he was going to sober up or not. I can't see him voluntarily going to rehab or sticking with sobriety unless he was forced to.
No, he probably had to go to prison to get sober. It just didn't work for me because I really didn't believe that that character would have done that. I really don't believe that anyone in his position would have done that. The sacrifice was too large, and I don't have that much faith in humankind, apparently. It just didn't ring true. It was a really good movie (with a good soundtrack), but I just didn't like the end because it was unconvincing.

I agree PJ_Soul. I can see if he wasn't in his true element (which was being TOTALLY WASTED ) that he might crack, (pun intended). If he was sober & feeling uncomfortable maybe, but doubtful. I know too many alcoholics, I never saw any of them with a conscience when they were drunk, just doesn't happen. But I did enjoy the movie, even better than Argo, which I saw the night before. Affleck may be able to direct, but he still sucks as an actor  .

The new G.I. Joe. Easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen!!! It's was HORRIBLE! Didn't even come close to the first one. The Rock was the only reason I didn't walk out. He was entertaining.

i thought it was way better than the first one. wasn't nearly as ridiculous i thought. some things were at least plausible.
That's the reason I loved the first one. It shouldn't be believable it's G.I. Joe! :fp:
The second one was boring as hell.

They're are plenty of believable things on everywhere else. Pretty much everything on TV is reality. Movies should be an escape for reality not a version of it in my opinion.

Brought back memories of all of those news stories when I was a kid. We had a yellow ribbon tied around our tree for the hostages too.
