One of my old friends used to know Zelda Rubenstein; said she was just the same in real life.
    Was her house clean?
    Ha! Apparently she was quite...spiritual.

DK, I love most things Kane. Saw the original way back and was scared shitless.

    ^^^That’s not Carol Kane!
They original one with Carol Kane was damn scary when I was a kid. Now the trope about the call coming from inside the house is overplayed.

Shows what I know about movies!  We’ll have to check this out.

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Sorry. I hope I didn’t spoil anything for you. But I figured the statute of limitations on spoiler alerts should be up for movies over 40 years old  :s

    Hereditary

I was interested and I think the acting was very strong.
    Still struggling with the story.
I think it was pretty dumb.

There were some kinda creepy parts that I liked.

  • The Trial of the Chicago Seven.

Fantastic movie.  Seeing Sacha Cohen as Abbey was a little far fetched but still a great movie.   wonder how much was embellished though?

If half that shit went on back then it's a really bad look for the USA.

That’s what pissed me off. Also thought the acting was very good, but it ultimately left me
    unsatisfied.

I just can’t get into the Friday or similar movies. They seem too formulaic, too...something. Not smart horror. I liked some when I I was in my teens though.

We watched John Wick 2 last night. Solid scenes, cute as hell dog, poor trashed muscle car, stellar combats. Good entertainment even with our joking running commentary.

I'd argue the formulaic nature of them is somewhat the charm..

Like putting on different Pearl Jam bootlegs, more of the same in a comforting way but enough difference.

Was more of. a fan in my teens too.

You should re-watch one in two weeks, friday the 13th now in November.

I don't think I have watched more than 2-3 of them all of the way through.

Was surprised when I really liked John Wick 1 and 2.

I’m a fan of Pits, true muscle cars, and resourcefully beating the fuck out of people =)

I also realized he’s an odd parallel to Bond. Especially at the “store”.
