ALIEN 5 on Wednesday. IMAX. Not a fan of IMAX, but one in the group really wants IMAX. So it's IMAX.

I’m excited to see it this week! But my calendar is so full and not sure when I’ll squeeze it in!

Would love to have some kind of membership like that... All I have is my mom is a member of the "Swedish Tenant Association" so she buys tickets through them for 11 dollars a piece.

    $11 is not bad!

Although this A list is fantastic. I don’t know how they do it. $23 a month, 3 movies a week, that’s up to 12 a month!

The Swedish Film Institutes fall program of showings has been released.

As you all know, Stockholm are getting 100+ more showings that Gothenburg and all these different themes while Gothenburg if lucky gets one film to represent that theme. E.g. Stockholm is getting a Nolan theme with almost all of his films being shown on 35 mm, and 5+ Cassavetes films being shown etc. Also having a showing of Zodiac on 35mm, but we all saw that one in 2007 - am i righttttt

But removing all the digital showings (which I by default skip), this is what Gothenburg is getting on 35mm that I will try to catch:

    Chungking Express (1994)
    The Time Machine (1960)
Mej och Dej (danish movie) (1969)
    Elephant (2003)
The Killing of a Chinese Bookmaker (1976)
    Back to the Future (1985)
    Brief Encounter (1945)
Four Nights of a Dreamer (the french movie) (1971)

    Will skip:

    Inception
    Funny Games (1997)

The older I get the less I feel like rewatching QT
The younger his films the less I feel like rewatching them

But now when you mention Hateful Eight... only saw that one in the theatre. Hmm. Will see if its available somewhere

It's on Netflix and actually, it's available in two different formats. The original theatrical version, but he also added scenes and edited into a four-part series. Each part is about an hour long.

I got to see Hateful Eight in the 70mm presentation. That’s a good one. And to think he abandoned it because of a script leak, and then decided to do it anyway.

Not sure whether it was a trend that died again or whether it‘s really always been just three nerds (QT, PTA & Nolan) that are into it and their films are few and far in between. Were there any other outliers like Orient Express?

I imagine you have an, atleast, fine time in the cinema. Many people seem to love the film.
