    Weird??
I don’t want to say too much, but yes, weird. You should definitely watch it. You’ll know what I mean when you see it.
nothing could have prepared me for what I saw..the ''birth'' scene??..wow!!

Yes, I didn’t want to say anything, but there is definitely no preparing for that scene. It just keeps going on too!

  • Yeah, it really was. It was an interesting movie. I felt like the two leads also did a great job. Alex Garland, the director, usually does good stuff.

That was one hell of a year. I'll tell you what.

Its’a not Sphere. But I will say that Sphere is overlooked.

    Sphere, Event Horiozn, Sunshine

What more of that kind of Sci-fi with a ”isolation anf what is real and not real?” component do we have?
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
  • Love Event Horizon and Sunshine. Didn’t see Sphere, but loved the book.
  • Annihilation and Pandorum fit that bill as well, just not 1998.
  • Event Horizon was cool.
The love he receives is the love that is saved
  • Love Event Horizon and Sunshine. Didn’t see Sphere, but loved the book.
You might like Sphere. Give it a chance!

  • Definitely will. Samuel Jackson!

  • Too little erotic thrillerness in it to be a true "90s Michael Douglas looking good in a suit"-thriller

That’s funny! Probably the reason I watched this one with my son instead of those others. While watching the credits, I noticed Jonathan Mostow was an executive producer. He had a good little run the late 90s. I feel T3 unfairly put him in movie jail.

Not at all. I enjoyed it, but it seems like you’re not supposed to say that about Marvel movies anymore. Everyone has much more fun just shitting on them, whether they’ve seen them or not.
I thought Michelle Pfeiffer was pretty cool in this one, and I like Jonathan Majors as Kang.

gonna see Cocaine Bear later today...ill report back
    It's on my weekend agenda.
It’s solid enough…. I was rooting for the bear

its silly, but that’s what you need sometimes

With the Oscars 2 weeks away, it's a shame we have to wait a full year to see Cocaine Bear awarded its Best Picture award.

Did you happen to notice the roadside billboard by the payphone that both Ice Cube Jr. and the cop used en route to Georgia?

    This weekend we rock Portland

Agreed. I had fun. Majors is great. Much better than Love and Thunder. It is not as bad as people like to say.

  • It’s good, but it is not that initial trailer. Less a stoner comedy and more crime/monster movie with some gore. I had fun though.

Is it the Joakim/Joachim Trier? Hasn't seen it. But he's a quality director... from the little I have seen...

I want to see Cocaine Bear.  It's looks stupidly wonderful.

We saw All Quiet on the Western Front last night.  We liked it.
  • 1991 - POINT BREAK

I remember the relationship between Johnny Utah (Reeves) and Bodhi (Swayze) being much stronger and more believable. The script is bafflingly clunky and lacking finesse (might be James Camerons fault). The over-the-top acting from every male character outside of Patrick Swayze is tiresome. The action sequences are great. So are the squibs. Patrick Swayze is gorgeous.
