1. At work
2. Painfully awkwardlyWe started talking A LOT, and we eventually started talking about a new movie that we both wanted to see, and we ended up going together. I was technically her boss, and she is younger than me, so I was thinking that A) I didn't have a chance, and
this could screw me job-wise, so I was overly cautious... Eventually we got past this awkward stage and started a "top secret" romance. The fact that we hid it from everyone at work the first month or so, made it more fun
Fast forward 4 years, and we are married with a beautiful baby boy

you kissed the night you met- were you both drunk?
and he actually called again? unheard of!
Out on the decking having a cigarette.
Well considering we were both staying in the same house in Oslo for the long weekend and part of the same group... and that was the first night... there was no real getting out of it.
Kissing over here on the first night is normal... it's actually kinda expected. Although this wasn't like that cos we were just out chatting and it just happened. The Astoria??? Orgazmic!

well, I don't wait for it to happen. I stopped that when I was 17. I remember the exact moment actually.
I think it's just that I've gotten CLOSE but it doesn't work out the way it works out for other people, which is why I always want to understand...and you can never really observe it because the people are usually alone or maybe you can see it going down but you can't hear what they're saying.0 -

GreenTeaDisease wrote:follow up: how did you get to kissing?
**Please Note** There is a LOT of back story getting us to the 'kissing' part
... we were just getting back to the hotel from the show @ the Saddledome(where we were sharing a room with two other PJ fans) and both a little tipsy with booze and feeling happily spent from the roller coaster ride we call PJ LIVE!! He had his arms filled with posters & t-shirts & stuff... I was probably supposed to be getting out the key for the door...
*giggles*
I'm sure I gave him a sideways smile... and he probably looked at me with those big, beautiful, brown eyes ... with all those sexy eyelashes... trying to look as innocent as possible... biting his lip... just a little bit... and said... 'What'?
I moved closer and we kissed... the softest... most amazing... electric... knee numbing... breathtaking... KISS...
That was 2 1/2 years ago... the kisses continue to be electric and amazing...
in 9 days we will kiss for the first time all over again...

lol, no he wasn't drunk. He just thinks my nose is cute, and wanted to kiss it. He didn't miss my mouth or anything...lol.
We just were certain that we loved each other. We'd been talking for 6 months before we met, and really got to know each other very well. I loved his values, his intellect, his humor. I loved his outlook on life, and I loved who he was/is as a person. I could go on...lol. Basically, all of that just adds up to a feeling that he gives me that is like nothing else I have ever experienced. That's how I knew I was in love with him.0 -

I could write the book on disastrous dates but I've had some amazing ones too... ya just have to bounce back and keep positive until somebody finds you who deserves you (and NOT the other way around... although I've got lucky). If I were the kinda person to give up I woulda done it years ago, but I can understand and appreciate why some things just aren't meant to work out.
But ya have to at least be in a position to meet people... if ya wanna meet someone. The Astoria??? Orgazmic!

this is not the info I'm looking for. I've gone to parties/bars/concerts, many, many, many many of them. Meeting boys at one? this has happened hmmm, maybe like 5 times over my 30-year life span. Have a few drinks- done that plenty of times...drink more- done that too, lord knows...kiss boy- out of the 5 boys I've met out, maybe this has happen with 3...go on date- never gotten to this point. What I need to know is all the stuff in between that actually makes this process work...I need like the theory and the practical application.0 -

1) How did you MEET your significant other (or your last one)?
2) How did you then TRANSITION from just knowing this person or liking them to actually being in a romantic relationship? Did you ask them out on a date and then it was just implied? Did you suddenly like kiss or something? Did you just like, tell them you liked them?
thanks for the help with my research!!!
1. Before a PJ show a friend and I met a couple of girls who within an hour offered to allow us to stay at their hotel with them (we were from out of town and had some shaky accomodations set up). These girls were also from out of town and lived less than an hour from where I lived at the time. They knew of a girl who would be perfect for me so they set us up.
2. We started hanging out as a group and then it transitioned into just the two of us. It was very comfortable and relaxed, no pressure. Started with dinner and a movie and then went from there. The first kiss was also a natural progression."The leads are weak!"

Isn't it amazing how that works? There is really no way to quantify it or to explain it to someone who hasn't had the feeling... When it first happens, you feel like you can conquer the world. My whole life
