dude you just kicked me in the jimmy w/out even knowing it. i had tickets to the wednesday game of the big east tournament on the wednesday that mcnamara hit the 3 to beat cincy. i left my tix in my car at the train station that morning. got down to nyc, had to take another train back, then back to nyc. by the time i got to the Garden, the SU dance team came running out screaming in excitement. i asked one of them what happened, and they were just screaming. i wanted to puke right then and there. i've never gotten over it.
damn that totally sucks! McNamara was fun to watch. His shots are unpredictable, never knew if it's gonna go in or not.

Anyways, I think this season's tournament will be a great one.

That southern division is no joke. You have to recruit, if you wanna keep up with St. Joe's and Roman.

Syracuse...but went to college in Massachusetts. I root for the 'Cuse when John Wallace and co. went to the Championship in '96 or '97 (not too positive) because I grew up about 30 minutes away.

they still a young team though.

next year, bud. with rautins and devo redshirting this season, next year will be impressive. and with the way things are going now, i highly doubt anyone (greene) will be going pro after one season in college.

well i guess from all of my crying earlier it's obvious... but i went to/cheer for villanova.

SU, all my life. born and raised in/around syracuse, so it's natural that i cheer for that team. my uncle and i have season tickets every year for the football program. sadly, it's been very lacking the past few seasons, but i stick by them, through thick and thin. nothing annoys me more than fair-weather fans. greatest moments as far as games i've attended...for basketball, when patrick ewing was at the charity stripe and someone threw an orange and hit the back of the backboard. john thompson was furious. also, sherman douglas' last game at the dome, putting an exclamation point on his dome career with a reverse slam. and also, attending carmelo anthony's last game at the dome. we were up in the nosebleeds for that one, but it was still a great game to have been at. for football: rushing the field after upsetting va. tech. that was fantastic. but my favorite of all time (b'ball or f'ball) was the road trip to boston to see coach p. pull a major upset thanksgiving weekend, tearing apart boston college in their last regular season game as a big east member, taking away the chance of leaving the league as big east champs. i really hate boston college for their turncoat ways, and wish nothing but bad luck to all of their sports programs.

I think that's the one thing anyone in the conference can agree on is the BC defection. I remember how badly they were heckled and booed during their last Big East tournament.

i don't know how true the rumors are, but they've been floating around for about a year now that SU is going to have a few games between BC sometime in the next few football seasons. i'm torn: one side of me would love to see SU thrash them again (even though it's highly unlikely with the state of the current program), and the other side of me says "fuck them, they skirted out of the conference...let's not give them anything."

also, i see SU has Penn State on it's home schedule this year. i can't wait for that game. if SU didn't exist, Penn State would be the school i cheer for. i love paterno, and am eagerly looking forward to seeing him coach a game in person. let's hope nothing bad happens to him to keep him away from the dome on gameday.

i'm currently a student at Temple, but their athletic program has gone to shit. Ever since Lynn Greer and Pepe Sanchez left.....hahha!!! I'll always support the big five( Temple, Nova, St. Joes, LaSalle, Penn) becuse it's Philly basketball. Nova is def my favorite team of the bunch. Growing up watching Kittles, Lawson and them guys. Then I played with and against, kyle Lowry, Shane Clark, and Bilal Benn(transferd to Niagara).

'Cuse defeated #8 Georgetown (#1 in Big East) today, 77-70 at Carrier Dome.
I had lost hopes for team after they lost to bottom-feeder, South Florida(2-11 in conference) and previously a 2-point lost to UConn.
It's so unpredictable in this conference.

you have every right to be. but did you see that the big east issued a statement saying the ref was correct to 'use his judgement' in making the call? gimme a break. bad call. at least they rebounded (literally) against st. john's...much to xman's demise!
