Nice sweep this weekend! Good to see the bats waking up. It's also nice to see Papi finally over the Mendoza line.

Also, seeing this made me chuckle. Eric Gagne blew his fifth save of the season Sunday. He walked three, gave up two hits and two runs and the Brewers lost to the Astros in 12 innings. He's got an era over 6 so far this year. I still can't believe the Brewers gave him 10 million dollar to be their closer.

Maybe this is Bud's mea culpa for the steroid scandle. The other owners are making him pay Gagne. (I know he technically doesnt own them anymore)

It was also nice to see Lester pitch pretty well, especially because it was damn cold there yesterday.

It's actually the first time in a while I actually enjoyed being at a game at Fenway. Probably because I had an aisle seat and I could fit a little better than usual.

Another weird game from Daisuke; walked 8 batters but only gave up 2 hits and 1 earned run. More importantly he's 5-0 for the season. :)

Definitely a strange line for Dice-K. Good to see Lowell finally getting into the RBI column. We're starting to play well again. Keep it going.

And Youk took another ball deep like he did the previous game. Papi hit one out as well. The bats are coming around again.

Other than Oji and Paps, the rest of the bullpen are struggling. :(

Youk loves Detroit. It's the only park outside of fenway where he has hit more than 2 home runs. He's turning into a beast.

The best that I saw at Fenway to play the Monster was Carl Yastrzemski in the 70's. Here are a few stats on YAZ.

Big sweep this weekend to end the losing streak and it looks like the bats are back.

Can't wait to see Masterson's 2nd start on Tuesday as well as the debut of Colon.

Counting the World Series, since 2006, the Sox are 35-8 and 20-3 at home against the minor I mean National League. ;)

Loved the "We Want Gagne!" chants during the games this weekend. :)

Good to see the bats come alive. Beckett looked pretty bad, allowing 4 homers. Dice-K looked very good once again. Ortiz is swinging the lumber pretty well. His average has crept up to .250 (.308 over his last 10 games). Time to get things rolling. It seems like we win 5 then lose 4. Very inconsistent. Hopefully the pitching will improve all around.

He deserves a no no more than anyone else in baseball for sure!! To bad Gavin Floyd from the Chi Sox has flirted twice without success. 7 2/3 inn, and 8 1/3. But it couldnt have happened to a more deserving guy than Lester!!!

Great job tonight by Lester. Such a remarkable story and the kid has a bright future ahead of him. I'm really glad the Sox chose to keep him and not mortgage their future for Santana.

Also don't forget about Tek, he set a record catching his 4th no hitter tonight.

some would say he's enjoying the game, others would say he's showing up the other team when he hits a HR and stands in the box admiring his shot, and staring at the pitcher. My question to you, if you're a Red Sox fan, would you love it if ARod, or Jeter, or any Yankee hit a HR at Fenway, and stood in the box until the ball cleared the wall, and looked at the ball, then looked at the piutcher, then looked at the ball again, then the pitcher again, and then, finally started to trot?

The hypocrisy involved is the biggets problem I have with Manny. It's great when Manny does it, but if the other team does it, Tommy Toughnuts Varitek, in full body armor, wants to fight that guy. And all the drunken Sullies in Fenway would storm the field and try to stab any yankee who pulled that bullshit stunt

Anyway, very impressive by Jon Lester. I tip my cap to him. I'd be a bit more impressed if he did it against a major league team, but still very impressive, nonetheless

I met and talked to Manny last year at the Sox Spring Training opener and he was fun to talk to. No different than when he's on the field, the home plate anomolies I don't care for. I never did them when I played and I certainly don't like to see RS players playing that way. As for Jeter awesome as usual but as for Arod until he brings a championship he would get to hear harsh words. At least Manny has brought the Red Sox a few championships which may have opened the way for his playful behavior. Let's see what Arod can do and maybe he'll start to have some fun. :)

I wouldn't need to be drunk and not all Sox fans are *drunken Sullies* to react inaappropriate behavior on the field. Lester was awesome last night I hope he can keep it up and last time I checked KC is in the major league they might even have as good record as the last place Yankees.

Oh, and how pissed is Hank? His 2 young studs are getting hammered while the Sox young aces throw no hitters.

Hey, it's our house. It's not like Manny does that anywhere but Fenway. He knows when to do it plus he is playing for his teams fans more than anyone.
