  • Well I used to sleep out but they wont let that happen anymore. I also used to sit at the computer all day. However I have no tix this year as I had no PC at the time.

Oh well, at least the Sox took 2 of the 3 from the Yankees. Where are all the NYers now who generally fill up tbhis forum?

it's not boring persay, it's just that espn ruins it by making it out to be the biggest game in the history of the two teams and turns it into a four-hour marathon.

If i was making the schedule, i'd make the Yankees-Red Sox series take place this way:

Series 1 - Memorial Day Weekend
Series 2 - Fourth of July
Series 3 - end of July
    Series 4 - Mid August
    Series 5 - Labor Day
Series 6 - Final Two Weeks of the Regular Season

For me, it's hard to get into the hype with the Yankees-Red Sox this early in the season.

exactly, this early in the seasons teams are seeing their way through bad weather, early-season injuries and plus there's too much else going on, especially postseasons from the winter sports.

Yeah, it was cool when you could spend the night in line to get tix in December. Now, you either sit in front of your PC all day or pay scalpers to get tickets.

It's really tough to get tickets without a PC.

We went to Sunday's game. I don't think it was boring but then again I enjoy just watching people as well as the game!

*PLENTY* of good seats available for the Sox series @ the A's in May .... come on out ... it's always a good time in the Coliseum when the Sox are in town. Us Sox fans usually make up at least 30-40% of the crowd. :D

  • I love how they boo Manny still. I mean I would too if I was a Cleveland fan. That had to suck for them last night.

Manny is going to the hall wearing a Sox hat.

Good job by the bullpen to keep it close till the offense caught fire.

It helps that Joe Borowski is made of lighter fluid.

Great win for the Sox last night. Good to see Papi making contact although it wasn't exactly solid. Manny is looking like vintage Manny. Hopefully Wakefield can have good stuff tonight. Glad to see that Lowrie is getting the start at third tonight. He's supposed to be good.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

You've got to love when he comes out of the pen, gas can in hand, pouring fuel all over the infield, while throwing matches on the mound.

My buddy was at work and he called me to ask if Borowski was warming up. I said yes and he said, "We got them right where we want them."

Another nice win for the Sox. Lowrie came up huge with 3 RBIs in his MLB debut. Varitek came through in the clutch. Great game!

It's safe to say that Manny has Mussina's number though. Good lord. What a bomb.

it's safe to say he has any yankee pitcher's number. that was his 50th two home run game, good for sole possession of 10th place on the all-time list. he is hitting .500 against the Yankees (55-for-110) since the start of the 2006 season.

that's just ridiculous. I hate the guy with a passion, and I'm pretty convinced that he actually is mentally retarded, but wow. 55-110. Unbelievable. This is the same guy who had to ask an umpire yesterday if he had to go back to 1st base when a foul ball was hit

Down 5 - 0 ... they came back late and won AGAIN? Even after Manny got the boot early in the game?

I admit it ... I stopped watching in the 6th .... had things to do ...

    they score 2 in the 7th, 4 in the 8th ... some Paps 9th inning action ... win 6-5

These guys are never out of a game.

I know. This team doesn't quit.

I got home from my softball game in time to see Wakes battle out of the top of the 8th and then the kids came threw again. It's scary to see that we actually have a farm system considering how much Duquette ravaged it. I'm really happy that we didn't trade Lowrie. I got a feeling him and Pedroia will be a great double play combo for years to come once we find a way to dump Lugo.
