    reminds me of when the Sox had the grass painted behind home plate to say World Series 2003 before game 7 in NY ....

    that was just as bad as bernie mac singing it's root, root for the champs in game six of the 2003 NLCS right during the seventh inning stretch. We all know what happened next..

    Not to defend Bernie Mac, but he's a White Sox fan and said he never could root for the Cubs. Fox had him do the song to help promote his show.

    Yeah, he's from Chicago. I think they interviewed him after the Cubs blew the series and they asked him if he felt bad that he may have jinxed the Cubs by changing the words and he said something like "Nope, I'm a White Sox fan and have hated the Cubs my whole life." I remember Fox showed him in his White Sox gear when the Sox won the series in 05.
