    the thing with dice-k is he can be sailing along and then have one bad inning...like he'll just lose it...

    if the sox can stay away from that one critical inning, and tack on a few more runs, they will be good...

    Very true. I saw this interesting stat about Dice K on ESPN today:

    Key inning: sixth. Opponents' BA in innings 1-5 in regular season was .235. It jumped to .315 for sixth inning, then dropped to .234 for innings 7-9.

    Seaver ... sox traded for him

    Reggie Jackson ... ? was he on that team?

    Yep, he's pitching really well early. Had to work a little last inning but we have a full bullpen tonight so going deep into the game isn't necessary.
