it sucks because youk is so hot right now, but you have to keep big papi in the lineup. i wish youk could play some shortstop because i would sit lugo in a second to keep youk's bat in the lineup.

Yeah, I was thinking about that today. Because you got Papi, Youk and Lowell and only two spots.

I'm thinking you ride the hot hand of Youk at 3rd.

It's a good problem to have though.

Now, this in an oddball solution and will never happen, but Pedroia was a SS in the minors before being moved to 2nd. Lowell played a dozen games in 2005 at 2nd with the Marlins. So maybe put Lowell at 2nd and Pedroia at SS and in the 6th inning put your defensive team out there?

can youk play right? I know he played about 15-20 games in the OF last year ... but, I'm guessing in an outfield as expansive as Colorado's, you want your best defensive OF out there.

    At least JD's warming up.

during those 3 game series in the NL parks, francona gave each of those guys a day off.

say all you want about winning 21 out of 22 ... a HELL of a streak, but the sox being down 3-1 and coming back to win this, I would say equals that momentum.

And now that we used Mueller to throw the first pitch last night and Millar tonight, does mean Dave Roberts on Wednesday?

i tip my hat to the red sox, as an indians fan. honestly, we didn't deserve to win. we looked like a minor league team in these last three games, and our stars looked like high schoolers. we gave up 10 runs in 3 innings last night. our designated hitter is batting what - .0001? our two star pitchers can't get a win between them - the two who are both cy young candidates and won 19 games each. our third baseman and short stop running into each other over a fly ball...in left field? HOW many grounders did we let slip through our gloves tonight? we were relying on our backup pitchers to win our games. asdrubal was our best chance to score a run, because god knows that hafner and sizemore couldn't. martinez was the only one who looked like even knew what a baseball looked like from the regular season sluggers.

it was pathetic, and i was almost emabressed to even watch it after that. our 3rd base coach didn't even know when to tell someone to run home.

there's always next year, and hopefully they learn the basics in the offseason (to designate someone to catch a fly ball, to run home when you have the time. catching grounders, and other such things that cost them runs).

good luck against colorado. i'll be rooting for you boston.

that's the only thing to stop me from breaking it, and that we lost to my second favorite team. we've got everyone but sabathia signed for a couple more years, and i'm damn proud that a team with absolutely no post-season experience made it to game 7 in the ALCS against the toughest team in baseball after knocking out the other toughest.

i hope we have the same postseason next year...just with a different game 7. ;) (and especially the yankees losing first round. i can't decide if it's more fun than them just not making it in general...)
