Hmmmm....Buster Olney says you need to follow the GIANTS model....you know, think of a "team" concept:
The other day in the Giants' clubhouse, Matt Duffy was asked about his promotion as the team's everyday third baseman, and he explained that he had learned about the demotion of previous starter Casey McGehee from McGehee himself. The veteran pulled Duffy aside and told him he was being taken off the roster, and McGehee explained that he had a similar experience earlier in his career in Milwaukee, where he had replaced Bill Hall. For too long, McGehee said, he felt badly about supplanting Hall, and McGehee wanted to make sure Duffy wasn't beset with the same sort of emotion.
McGehee is back in the big leagues with the Giants, but Duffy remains the starting third baseman, counseled in his work by McGehee, in keeping with the team's traditional devotion to winning games. Barry Zito, the team's highest-paid player in 2010, was taken off the roster and didn't complain; rather, he supported his teammates. Last year, Sergio Romo was dropped from the closer's role and handled it with grace before re-signing with the Giants this offseason as a free agent. Last fall, Tim Lincecum, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, was moved to the back of the San Francisco bullpen and didn't utter a peep of discontent because he understood the decision was based on performance and on what gave the Giants the best chance to win.
The Red Sox must try to get to this place, again, as they seemed to be in 2013.

None of that has NOTHING to do with the Sox and their losing ways. Sox are just not that good.

Let's keep this train rolling, boys. Bad time for a day off yesterday. Hopefully, they can maintain their momentum.
I'm basically living at Fenway this week. Was at Sunday's rollercoaster game, will be at tomorrow night's game (provided the predicted p.m. thunderstorms clear out) vs. the Marlins and Friday night's game vs. the Shitheads.
Wow really starting to show some life. Winning the close games and the division keeps losing. Dustin could be back on Friday. Maybe the 2nd half will be interesting.

Let's hope so. Huge 7th inning tonight.
Then finished up with a win.....caught the game at Duffys last night down here in FL. Just need to stay injury free and stay hot like the weather.
Peace

Good stuff (mostly) at Fenway last night. We needed the early lead with Porcello on the mound.
Thanks, Papi! Big fella was seeing (and hitting) the ball well! If he stays in the zone during the Yankees series, we could do some good divisional damage control.

good bounce back game. Win today and they win another series. Interesting pitching matchup today. Two ex NL's who both have a lot of wins yet neither has been that good.

Which Clay will we see tomorrow?
And Buchholz gets hurt AGAIN(apparently>have to wait on the report, but a pitcher just doesn't leave a game like that).
