660 at Fenway this weekend? Boston should spite the shit out of the Yankees brass and put a huge congratulations on tying Willie Mays if he hits 660 there. That would be awesome.

That actually would be pretty funny.
I would give them some serious props if they had the balls to do that.
With 12 walks, 11 of them intentional. Fuck aroidmaterialboy. Disgrace to the game of baseball.
haha, so he goes 0-14 with 12 walks? so he gets 26 PA in a 3 game series? Hell yeah, I will take that since it means the rest of the lineup smoked the Red Sox. So you are predicting a Yankees sweep?
With their pitching woes it wouldn't surprise me. I love how you have a baseball stat calculator for a brain. I was never good with numbers and my memory sucks. It'll be fun to watch as it is one of the greatest rivalries in sports.

Oh if the Sox could repeat that shutout let's say 10 more times....all would be sweet.

haha, it's the pitching coach's fault, not that the team has terrible pitchers
Your analytical prowess is auber alles, math appears to be your favorite subject. That said the pitching does suck terribly and help is indeed need to catch the front running Yankees.

Hopefully they can keep things going this afternoon against the Twins. As bad as they've been this year, the Sox are only 2.5 games behind Tampa Bay for the division lead. The pitching has been good lately and the bats are finally starting to warm up. Time to make a run.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Ok last place but two wins in a row should pick up spirits some. It's early and a division win is still in sights.

Just OK? Now I'm offended. Guess I need to paint a big blue B ony shirtless chest and pass around the blow up doll, like the old days huh? Ha! Only kidding, yea that was a good time except for the L. Oh well, the good thing about the basement is there's nowhere else but up. And it's only 5 1/2 stories deep at this point. It's not like it's 14 deep or something.
Hmmmm....Buster Olney says you need to follow the GIANTS model....you know, think of a "team" concept:
The other day in the Giants' clubhouse, Matt Duffy was asked about his promotion as the team's everyday third baseman, and he explained that he had learned about the demotion of previous starter Casey McGehee from McGehee himself. The veteran pulled Duffy aside and told him he was being taken off the roster, and McGehee explained that he had a similar experience earlier in his career in Milwaukee, where he had replaced Bill Hall. For too long, McGehee said, he felt badly about supplanting Hall, and McGehee wanted to make sure Duffy wasn't beset with the same sort of emotion.
McGehee is back in the big leagues with the Giants, but Duffy remains the starting third baseman, counseled in his work by McGehee, in keeping with the team's traditional devotion to winning games. Barry Zito, the team's highest-paid player in 2010, was taken off the roster and didn't complain; rather, he supported his teammates. Last year, Sergio Romo was dropped from the closer's role and handled it with grace before re-signing with the Giants this offseason as a free agent. Last fall, Tim Lincecum, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, was moved to the back of the San Francisco bullpen and didn't utter a peep of discontent because he understood the decision was based on performance and on what gave the Giants the best chance to win.
The Red Sox must try to get to this place, again, as they seemed to be in 2013.
