I think all the ones in the know where told to keep it quite until Wednesday.
I guess it makes sense, if this broke out to everyone they would have had a lot of peeps at the door trying to get in...

Well Hail Hail the lucky ones in the know and this only gets me more excited about the show on April 2nd! less than a week now :D

That I don't know... I'm guessing it was at the same convention center in West Seattle but I have no idea.

After a while Ed came on stage for a one hour plus solo set.

Jesus...April 5th cannot get here soon enough!!! The only bad news out of this whole post was that EV only played an hour, plus set. C'mon EV, give me a 2 hr set when in SC brutha...i think ya got enough material in ya to play that long!!!

One thing I know for sure is that the setlist for these solo shows will definitely be full of surprises!! Definitely lookin' forward to it and wishing that Ed and Bruce weren't scheduled to go onstage around the same time in venues that were roughly 1hr apart from each other or there possibly could of been a reasonable shot for one of them to make a guest appearance at the other's show.

...Well now come to think about it, if Ed's set only runs a hour and a half in length (max) there could be that outside chance for Ed to pop in on the Boss at the HP Pavilion for a tune or two. Hmmm....

    Peace,

    RM

I'm waiting for Ed to come to DC and the 9:30 club. I'm willing to camp out in front for tickets, something I haven't done in 15 years.

Ok, it must be cool now.. Here is someones account of last night..

    Hi -
Just got back from the show and saw your message. No April Fool's trick. This is just a warm up for his solo tour. I am truly blessed to have been at this show. Small community center in West Seattle - just down the street from from Ed's place. I had bought the last of 50 tix sold at Easy Street (WS) and there were about 120+ people there. The other ES has some for sale and there were promo/label tickets also. It was billed as a 'Into The Wild Event' "wink, wink" - - 5 bucks! My friend who tipped me was already there in line with a few people. He secured a front row (folding chair) seats for a small group of us and they were serving beer. We were 5 feet away. After a while Ed came on stage for a one hour plus solo set. Opened with 'Walking The Cow' (love it) played accousic, electric, mandolin, electric uke and even banjo. 'Trouble' from Harold & Maude (Cat Stevens) and the closing song from that movie (the latter on banjo), Millworker (James Taylor), Around The Bend, I am Mine, Dead Man, No More, I Won't Back Down, songs from Into The Wild and closed with Bob Dylan's Forever Young. Killlllller poster for ('both') shows. Matt, the owner of Easy Street, even asked me if it made up for not being able to let me in when PJ played Easy Street (not even he could let me in / tight) and it of course did. No pix allowed and I doubt there will be a boot. I am somewhat friends with John, one of the sound guys (worked at Silver Platters) - he recorded it as they do all their shows. Ed is so cool! - He was wearing a Police T-shirt under his flannel, said he doesn't share his political views on stage (ha!) and said he was sorry for misleading us into thinking this was going to be a viewing of Into The Wild but not as bad as someone should feel about being misleading others into the Iraq war. (They did it to keep the show 'secret')

Lucky you. sounds like it was a fantastic night.
I wish he would do solo aussie shows as well

Yeah this poster will be in high demand...to say the least..

I wish the person who started this thread would get back to us with more from the setlist.. I'm sure they will when it's over.. I wouldn't miss a minute of a show like this..

thats so sweet...its getting me even more pumped for 4/5.
