    hooray for new TUF episode!!

i got an email today with a synopsis... but i won't post it, cuz i wouldn't want to spoil anything! ;):D

ps. i miss the crap outta you two.

ehh, not the best TUF episode ever, particularly with the absence of Gray. :( Actually the fight just wasn't great.

ps. I miss the crap outta you two as well!

lol! i agree! the aforementioned synopsis made it out to be a much more exciting episode....

the fight was dull, and even Rampage's big "blow up" wasn't all that impressive.... he overturns one chair? and a parking sign? that's not even attached to the ground? c'mon!!! :p:D

i ended up sleeping through most of it.

I'll get to work on a GSP clone until Gray's or Roger's DNA comes up for auction! ;)
  • Speaking of cloning, can we make a million Arianny's?? LOL

  • 8,000$ for GSP's shorts! i thought my bid of 7,000$ was going to take it...:D

i have been doing the "rock hammer", at least that's what my head was feeling like...nate quarry's new patented move from montreal, for neglecting you guys and the thread. :(

latest word on roger huerta, as he gets ready for kenny florian...i seem to remember jorge telling us that roger had been training with georges a bit, so this makes sense. great move for him! if he can combine his natural talent, his tenacity, and aggressiveness with a smart greg jackson gameplan...look out LW's!

HUERTA PLANS TO WORK AT TEAM JACKSON
    Sunday, May 04, 2008
    by Damon Martin - MMAWeekly.com

The list of fighters who have sought out training and gameplan master Greg Jackson continues to grow as Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight contender, Roger Huerta, is expected to travel to the camp’s home in New Mexico to help him prepare for his August match-up against Kenny Florian.

The news comes from camp leader Greg Jackson himself during an appearance on MMAWeekly Radio Friday night.

“He’s a really, really nice guy, great fighter, tons of heart,” said Jackson about Huerta. “He kind of mentioned that he would like to come down to New Mexico and try it out. Hopefully it will help everybody and everybody will win.”

Huerta saw Jackson’s coaching prowess when working alongside UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre as he helped out as a training partner preparing for his bout with Matt Serra.

Now it appears that Huerta will look to train with top fighters such as St. Pierre, Rashad Evans, Keith Jardine and others to get ready for what will likely be a #1 contender’s match against Florian in August.

Jackson has proven to be one of the top coaches in all of MMA and Huerta would be another in a long line of top fighters to work with the camp.

  • just watched the english version of the aoki vs. jz match fromDREAM 2 this morning. not nearly as fun as the korean broadcast, especially when one of the broadcasters was only familiar with a punch. i got more information from the korean show! :D

    kamsa hamnida. :)

I figured to be fair, I would post one of Machida's biggest wins. Enjoy!

lyoto with an agressive style that we haven't really seen a lot in the UFC. good to see it again. thanks, lbc. :)

for some reason i always think of this fight taking place in a cage, rather than a ring. strange.
  • ceg and releash, i don't know if you remember me trying to describe to you the sakuraba entrance that he did in pride with the two other guys in masks coming to the ring with him...

anyway, he did it again the other night during the DREAM 2 MW tournament. this time, one guy was clearly not sakuraba...:D

oh, and the first four minutes is a japaneses promo that was the lead in to the match. feel free to skip that if you'd like. :) i did enjoy it, however, as it told a bit of a story of sakuraba driving to the match in his rolls royce and arriving at saitama super arena just as his match was starting. :D

...found this too. it's pretty good. a ten minute piece from pride decade on the story of sakuraba...

"...now let's see what happens..." tito wins with a powerful neck crank, that's what! ;D have to love the old goldberg and blatnick team.

yep, it should be an outstanding match if the two fighters you posted clips of show up at 84. such a contrast in styles!

i'm hoping to see more takedowns from the clinch in this one from tito. i think he has excellent takedowns from the clinch, but chooses to use the double leg more. he can be very effective with that, but i think lyoto could prove too elusive at times to get caught like that. if tito can pressure him into the fence and go for the takedown from there i think his style wins out. use his size and power advantage to set up an inside leg trip and let his weight carry machida down.

would you agree with tito winning this one on the ground, lbc? his stand up looked much improved aginst chuck and he's throwing his leg kicks with more confidence, but i don't know if he can offer enough to surprise machida on the feet. you never know...it's mma! :D
  • hey ceg and releash, we were just on tv! :) ...for a second. ;)

when gray was being interviewed in that big purple chair, they panned the audience and you could see us just for a second. i guess it's a two parter, so when they've both aired, i'll try to get them downloaded.

i just woke up, so i missed the first few minutes. could have been more of us on there! haha

oh, and i'm pretty sure i was being blind again as it looks like jaime pressly was actually kim couture. although, i could have sworn there was two of them!

anyway, i think i see dana white out my window....:D

    Hey Mook,
If Tito wins he is gonna have to do old school wrestling and GnP. i do think his stand up got a little better,so we will see. I am really looking forward to this fight as you can tell.

hahah... no way!!! that's too funny... mookie, it looks like your MMA superstardom is starting to rub off on ReleasH and I!!! :D What show was it on? a fight network thingy, i suppose...

that woman really looked like jaime pressly.... is Kim Randy's wife? it would make sense if it was her... i didn't realize she was also a fighter? that woman we saw was way too skinny to be a fighter.... hehehe...

it's not Dana White. it's just a bald guy in an Adidas jacket. ;):p

  • wow, jeremy has some bad hands. quite a knockout by matt brown!
  • he got some "cambonyez"?:D
  • well, that was a brawl! i don't know how either guy was able to get up after that first round. rampage seems happy to have his first win.
