omg, i'm so excited!
i want my fight club shirt!! it better arrive before April!
mook, did your Tanner shirt show up yet?
ReleasH found the coooolest Bully shirt... i checked for Huerta shirts... there aren't any, except his sponsor shirt... not too exciting... :(
hahaha... if worst comes to worse, i'll wear my Mike McCready shirt... great for all occasions!
VAS-Y GSP!!!!!
ps. GSP.
don't you mean favorite board members??
I would love to have gotten tickets and see the fights live !
The ONLY thing better than a glass of beer is tea with Miss McGill
A protuberance of flesh above the waistband of a tight pair of trousers
mais, bien sur! it goes without saying!
...no tanner shirt yet. i'm beginning to agree with releash more and more that someone in the post was a tanner fan...:D you didn't get your fightclub shirt yet!?! if we're both still waiting by the 19th, there's something up!
maybe we could all get matching "hughes sucks" tees? ...wouldn't really be relevant to the event, i guess....
"poor ol' montreal!"
sorry to hear. normally, vegas would be the place to be! it's going to be a good time in montreal...hottest ticket in town!...or in the country, maybe!
heheh... i knew you really meant "us"... fighters? pfft...
hughes sucks tees?? i love it! by the way canada post is running, it seems we might both be going topless!
actually i just checked, and it looks like the fight club tees are on back order...
i was also reading the forums, and trying to get some info on pre & post fight parties... it looks like there's something planned, but i can't quite pick out the relevant info from all the threads! at a glance, it looks like the pre party is sold-out... and the post party is at a club somewhere.... it's exhausting just reading about it. makes me want to get a case of beer and go back to the hotel room!
i'll keep trying to filter through the posts...
...ok, off for a waxing then...hey, is that my mailman wearing my t-shirt next door?....i'll be back!
lol! that reminds me! here's another french lesson for ReleasH: "OU EST LE CLUB SUPERSEX?"
damn mailman! kick is ass mook! no! flying triangle!!
i'm so excited for this. I've been off work for the 2nd day in a row now (damn cold/flu) and have trying to find out where gsp's after party is going to be, but no luck as of yet. I didn't even know that there was a pre-party so i'm not that upset that it's sold out. We should setup a pre-party at a club on cresent (close to where you guys are staying), or on st. denis (i've heard of some really good clubs around there), ofcourse, after the weigh-ins. Then saturday i'm goin to take a trip down st. catherine to do a bit of shopping and then get hammered before we go in for the fights. Going to be so much fun, there are 6 of us going down, but i think only 3 of us really like to party.
edit - hey mookie, you might want to change the ufc 85 fights. I just read on ufc.com that shogun has to withdraw, he ruptured his ACL in his left knee and will require surgery.
09/19/05, 05/09/06, 05/10/06
sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, so i hope you are feeling better soon, leafs. you'll be good to go for the 19th, though!
ceg, my mailman is still passed out from the triangle you suggested...:D i thought someone would have called a doctor by now!
change made.
that's too bad about shogun. i was really looking forward to the match with chuck. that certainly blows what would have been a huge main event in london.
i hope his surgery goes well, and that he can come back strong.
ya it was going to be a great fight. Unfortunatly the only matchup i can think of for Chuck now is against Bonner, which i don't think will be nearly as good of a fight (anything can happen in the ufc though).
09/19/05, 05/09/06, 05/10/06
wilson gouveia is really the only one i can think of who is available, so who knows? like you said, anything can happen...they may just take chuck off the card and try to put together another headliner.
edit: was just reading that they plan to announce a replacement "shortly", so chuck will remain the headliner i guess.

that's an incredibly inspiring story... a truly strong person, both in body and mind.
i'm grateful that he came to the realization that strength and happiness comes from having people that love, respect, and support you, and from having goals to achieve (as big, or small as they may be).
a good reminder to everyone, whether you're dealing with addiction, or not!
i wanna be on Team Tanner!!
wow! thanks for the link mookie, that was an amazing read. I'm very happy for Evan and wish him all the luck in the world. I'm actually pretty impressed that he would take a fight with Okami in that condition, i mean Okami is no joke, especially for a comeback fight.

This should be interesting,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

ya but houston is fighting in the next fight night on the 2nd, so i don't see that happening. If bonner can get healed up in a month i can really see them putting him in the cage with chuck. All depends on what his injury is.
09/19/05, 05/09/06, 05/10/06
i can't remember what the injury was for bonnar...ankle or foot, maybe?
thanks to you guys for taking the time to read evan's journal entry. he may have lost the fight to okami, but he had an important personal win that he really needed that night too and it sounds like he got it.
09/19/05, 05/09/06, 05/10/06
Goodness, I missed an interesting day in the thread!! This is beginning to sound like the makings of the Cincy orgy!!
Wow, I had no idea Evan was in that rough of shape only a few months ago. Congratulations to him for having the courage and determination to make his come back. He may some work to do to get completely back into fighting form, but anyone with that amount of willpower can achieve so much with a little time.
haha! i forgot about that! rich and beth franklin will be in town for this one, too...:D

yep, well said. as leafs said, okami is a top MW, so if evan can take this loss and find something positive in it, then it is an important life learning experience for him. one that i hope he can take with him to keep using that willpower you mentioned, and be even better next time. congrats to okami, though, as he fought well and was the better fighter on saturday night.
i thought it was legal in alberta, cree?
