that sucks even more... so how does that work, you can stay at home until you get a call and then you have to go in to work? Let's all pray for a slow day if that's the case

ah, I wish ... when I'm on call, I have to be physically at the hospital the whole time.

wow, that was a lesson in bjj... Cerone looked great, a couple attempts at various subs and finally nails the arm... great work

is that the guy that they were saying is from Jackson's gym???

+1 leafs. Some beautiful setups for the submission.

yeah, that was greg jackson in his corner. nice armbar finish. looks like a promising new LW.

he was originally supposed to face rich crunkilton until he was injured, so i hope they put that match together again. i think we were watching the gomez vs. crunkilton fight one night on here leafs. it was a good one from a couple of wec's ago...

if i knew the symbols for a stunned face it would be inserted here....

you have to work a 24hour shift... that's insane, i say we still hope for a slow day :)

24 hour shifts are not that bad really, you get used to it. Slow days are the worst because the time just drags on.

as for a stunned face ... I actually work 75 hours out of 120 hours (5 days) this week! (but this is atypical)

well then i hope it's a pretty quick 24hours lol

that's 15hour work days unbelievable... i complain about doing my 8hours lol... guess it's part of the job though

Maeda's stance is very strange ... his hands are at his waist half the time.

Lots of exchanges in the first round. I can't get over how LITTLE they are!

great round for both fighters... Torres was great on the ground but yoshido looked to be landed more (even with that big of a reach disadvantage) who do you give it to?

  • the BW's are tiny indeed! this is a scrappier fight than i expected so far. torres is looking a little bloody. i thought he'd submit maeda fairly quickly once it was on the ground...to round two...good one so far.

I'd hate to the be judges for this fight. A convincing case could be made for both guys winning the first round. It just keeps going back and forth.
  • definitely a first round up in the air. great second one i'd have to give to torres. this is turning out to be a very good fight. :)

DUDE what a freaking round... This one goes to Torres those heel kicks to the body while he's on the ground to anywhere he can find room are amazing.. That double heel hook was incredible and the standup has been unbelievable... FOTW (fight of the weekend)!!!!!!!!!!

i'll 2nd mir on this one... please don't stop this fight.... if it were on Elite last night i'd be a bit worried right now lol...

another great round with Torres taking more control, i don't think this will go the full 5 rounds

edit: damn, it's been stopped... I guess this has more of a case to be stopped than some of the ones from last night... excellent sportsmanship from both fighters

  • miguel is gradually taking over, but maeda still had a couple of strong moments there. he's fading, though, and that eye is close to stopping the fight.

edit: it's stopped in between rounds due to the eye.

+1 on what you said, leafs. :) maeda couldn't continue like that.

Dudes! What a great fight! Striking, ground work, BJJ ... insaneness!

That eye was pretty awful! I would not at all be surprised if he had an orbital fracture with that much swelling.

i'm still partial to gina vs. kaitlin ;) ...but this one is up there for sure! like they mentioned, i'd like to see a rematch!

ya after seeing meada's face during the decision it was a good stoppage... His eye was fully shut, no way you put a fighter in danger like he would have been.
