Glad I could catch this WEC event ... unfortunately, I'm on call Saturday night so I'll miss UFC 85. I'm bummed because Shamrock's Twin just bought a HUGE tv that would be perfect to watch the fights on.

You're right leafs, the UFC and WEC are close enough that it's probably not a big deal. btw, I'm not a fan of Mir's commentary.

Edit: Thanks for the info Mookie ... as usual you are full of useful knowledge. Hope the pain meds are working for you

thanks, releash. :) i'm just feeling a little mr. grumpy right now. took some morhine injections, so i am doing fine for pain, though. :D i'd almost rather be suffering through a broken bone than a tooth. it really does screw up your sleeping, eating, etc. pain in the butt!

anyway, one of the less eventful LW matches i've seen in a while. should be mccullough's win i guess?

yeah, the second one was making me squirm here! :D right on the money.

that sucks... it should be a decent card.... hope you can catch a replay or something

the fight was pretty meh. I think Rob won it but it was pretty close... I don't see the 30-27 score but whatever, atleast i think the decision was the right one.

d'oh! that sucks about 85, releash. :( shamrock's twin wouldn't mind if the rest of us come over....? ;):D
  • Did you guys catch Elite XC?? What a piece of crap, Kimbo wouldn't last 1 round with a Liddell or any other UFC fighter for that matter.

Sorry you are suffering with the broken tooth. How are you getting morphine injections? Are they over the counter in Canada?

i thought it was decent... there were 2 really good fights, unfortunately they ended really crappy.
I agree about Kimbo, I'd love to see Kimbo/Lesnar. I hated the stoppage of that fight aswell.

He would probably love the opportunity to show off his new toy.
  • i see guida's hair in the background now! :D

nice choice in walk out music for grigsby.

yup imo rage destroys dmx (even though i do like old dmx) so girsby gets my pick

owell guess we were all way wrong lol

grisby was showing some great takedown defence but as soon as he went down munoz looked great. That punch into side control was great every time he did it!

  • yep, reach was not an issue! i can't believe grigsby was so inactive with his legs. munoz kept doing the same thing to him over and over, as you said leafs.

...i was going for grigsby too after entering to rage...

i just can't understand why he didn't go for the arm or triangle like mir was saying. I guess just inexperience.

that sucks even more... so how does that work, you can stay at home until you get a call and then you have to go in to work? Let's all pray for a slow day if that's the case
