another great win for our beloved Flyers last night. 6 goals by 6 different players. only 16 shots against Bob. this team is scary deep in both defense and offense. I see many great things happening this year.

Good to see them piling up the points to insulate against the inevitable slump.

I know it's early, but it really is difficult to not get excited. this team is hitting on all cylinders right now. even jody shelly is juking out goalies!!

we all know what happens to this team every december. hopefully laviolette can buck that trend

Also, I am a carter hater, but his goal last night was sweet
  • I Hate leaving points on the ice

2 games in a row lead the shootout only to lose it

3 Days off at this point might be a good thing

Tied for the most points in the Conference aint all that bad

They will tail off some like every team in a long season

I can see this team going on a 0-5-1 stretch its unevitable

as long as they don't get injured, i don't see them having a huge losing streak.

just way to deep up front and on the blue line.

    plus there is BOB :D

  • BOB Honored

Bobby Clarke had a superb rookie season with the Flyers. So did Bill Barber, Brian Propp, Eric Lindros and Ron Hextall, among others.
Yet, none of them won the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie.
Fact is, the Flyers have never had a rookie-of-the-year winner.
Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky could change that.
On Thursday, the man they call “Bob” was named the league’s rookie of the month. In November, he went 7-1-2 with a 2.02 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
Flyers winger James van Riemsdyk won the award last November.
Overall, Bobrovsky is tied for fourth in the NHL in wins (12), sixth in GAA (2.18) and sixth in save percentage (.926).
Bobrovsky, 22, keyed the Flyers’ 9-0-1 run from Oct. 26 through Nov. 15.

The 7,000 fans wasnt enough for you ;)

    Check this out :

Since their last banner year (1987-88), the Islanders are 684-859-221 (.387) and have gone through 14 coaches in 22 years.

Aren't they moving the team? Or there's a chance of it happening?

can't say great game but hey a win is a win. as for the Islanders i still think they are the worse run team besides the Maple leafs. BTW, don't know if this was mentioned but Bob won the rookie of the month!

    BOB rules.

the thing i like most about him is, he doesn't give up soft goals. seems like everytime he gives one up, he didn't have a chance.

  • Apparently Homer is not convinced that Leighton is fully back

He will keep Leighton on the farm for another 2 starts

I bet they are biding their time while they search for someone to give up a low round draft pick for boucher

that would make sense. either boucher or leighton. i'd tell other teams to take your pick of the two.....if we believe bob is the guy for the future and at this point, i don't see why he wouldn't be.
