Yeah it's not too bad...I loved the closeness of the Specrtrum
These newer building are so spread out and distant from the ice
i was pretty close. row 5 or 7 right across from the visitors dressing room tunnel.
i was just thinking of what stadiums are the best. of the ones i've been to (philly, columubs, chicago, & detroit), the Joe wins hands down. none of that bs luxery box crap. standing room only tickets put you at the top of the lower bowl, not at the top of the nose bleeds. even the upper bowl isn't that far away.
I'm really not a fan of the FU/Wachov/WTF Center. But I think it at least may have acquired some personality this year, in that Boston series. Game 6 of that series was one of the coolest sportest events I've seen.

Yeah..the Joe looks like its a great place to see a game
I wish a chance to see the old Chicago Stadium and Bahston Gahdan before they were imploded

old chicago would have been cool, as would the spectrum. i like the old barns. today's buildings while nice (escalators, bathrooms, consessions), just don't have the cool atmosphere of the old buildings.
I am little disappointed that the flyers didn't sign him up. but from what i remember he was asking for more money from the flyers. oh well, maybe the plan is for him to hurt Sid the kid for us.

i would have put Snider up there and taken down Lindros
I got thinking about an all knucklehead team, though mostly since '97, as I remember loving everyone as a kid in the '80s. Nominees:
1. Billy Tibbetts - He'll make the list on any team.
2. Jesse Boulerice - Still can't help but refer to him as Bowl of Rice
3. Roman Cechmanek - Can he blame it on all those pucks to the noggin?
4. Steve Downie - I championed this kid for awhile. His board work in World Jrs was among the best I've seen. And now I'm glad he's finally turned himself into something TB. However, he was nothing but a bonehead in the Orange & Black.

I loved Downie. Still pissed that they traded him for Vinny Prospal. Terrible.
bill guerin in town today for a tryout. he has openly said he wants to play for the flyers and is willing to sign on the cheap.
he's older than the spectrum
This guy is an ancient mortal enemy of the Flyers - let's sign Kasparitis & Barnaby while we're at it.
I like the old school uniforms, but it's funny that they were trying to spiff up the logo just a few years ago, and now they're back to the 70s. Thank God they're not wearing black anymore.
I think I've gotten used to the colored unis at home. That's how they did it until the early 70s; we just grew up with whites at home and got used to that. For some reason, on occasion they do wear whites at home - it really confuses me, even more. Anybody have any idea on this?

Seeing some good games :
NJ,Rangers,Caps,Pitt,Mont

no offense to the guy, but he is one of those interchangeable players.
I would have rather kept Asham and let Carcillo go
At least Asham brings something to the table playoff time

I agree but he played well for us in the playoffs. not worth that money but when you think that we signed Shelly for 1.1 mil.
I just said the exact same thing

agreed.
I don't mind carcillo. he was decent in the playoffs this past year. even got an OT goal.
either way it's no big deal
he's such a chump. it's not often i dislike a player on my favorite team, but he is one of them
I don't love him either. he had a good year though. he was one of their better forwards during the regular season.
asham was nothing special
I'd take either player over carter
I got my partial plan already
Havent told the wife yet
:shh: :shifty: :problem:

ha, awesome. definitely something I would do.
I wish the flyers would leave me alone. calls, emails, snail mail...they must be desperate for season ticket holders

Matthew Barnaby is tops on your list for me

I like the jersey I wish they would wear the white jersey at home like they used to
Its ass backwards now where the home team wears the dark jersey
