So the flyers are 5 points behind Boston for 8. I don't know how I feel about this.

I rather see them get a good draft pick for the long run but seeing them in the playoffs would be fun too.

yeah it's kinda a double edge sword situation there. I think i'd rather see them in the playoffs although they wouldn't get too far.
at this point i hope they miss the playoffs
i'm back on the bandwagon

nice win, i didn't think they could win against the rangers. Mason looked decent.

It'd be nice to see Coburn play at Wells Fargo Tuesday night...in a Flames uni. That's what I'm reading anyway

Unless Hextall plans on being busy at draft day, he's got to be active here and deal at least one more D-man.
Unreal that Grossman gets hurt right before the deadline......

it looks like the flyers are going to use some young d-man next year. now if the team trade say Read I will be happy. I am actually surprised of the timo trade. I am happy for him but i was surprised that they could trade him for anything.

Way to ruffle the feathers of your starting goalie. More questionable antics from the front office(coach in particular)

They simply do not deserve to sniff the playoffs. The fact that they were still making it interesting before is a small miracle.
    Frank Seravalli ✔ @frank_seravalli
Steve Mason is tied for 5th in save percentage (.926) and has just one win on the road this season (1-9-5).

Give up game tying goal with 1 second left. Failed 3 on 1 OT powerplay. Failed breakaway in OT.
Claude Giroux has not scored a even strength goal on home ice all year long. Whole team relies on the powerplay to score.
Defense stinks, outside of a couple of good Offensive D-men.
    Lol at Couturiers giveaway.
Berube is completely clueless. If he is coach here next year I'll eat my pants.

wasnt one second left on tying goal
    wasn't any powerplay in OT

agreed that the team stinks, but come on man. you sound like the dummies who call 610. usually you sound like you have a clue, don't morph into that guy.

also, michael del zotto sucks. he's perfect for this defensive core since they all suck...but I really hope they don't waste cap space on him this offseason

I hate to tell you this, Del Zotto has been the best D-man all year long. I have no problem with the job he or Streit has done this year. As a whole, they are a mess.
The one second line was a typo(14)
Too many players going missing for long stretches of the season, including the Captain.
The blame goes all around on this shit show, except in net.
Hextall def has his hands full this off season. Stating the obvious of course.

they really needed that game, this team is so frustrating. Look great against St. Louis but fall to a team that we had to beat.

its time you embraced the inevitable and started to root for New Jersey and Dallas.

There is a huge difference between picking #7 and #8 or #9 this year.

I'm Already there. They are done. They would need to basically win out the remaining schedule and they would till need help from other teams.
Right now they are in the #9 draft slot I believe.

mdz may be their best dman this year, but that certainly isn't an accomplishment. their defense blows...a sieve. del zotto may be the best of the lot, but he still sucks. I'd trade or cut all of them...starting with grossman. god he sucks.

hextall def has his work cut out for him. macdonald, lecavalier, umberger...those contracts are immovable. ugghhhh

two first round picks is nice though...keep losing boys

8 games to go, just lost to the Oilers ;)
It must be a lost season, cause the drama is getting high in Flyerland. I want Berube gone, ASAP. Only this franchise could try and pile on a goalie who has played really well for this team. Unbelievable.

Looking forward to the summer when Holmgren trades half of his star players to another team for half of their less-talented star players. Always fun to watch

Holmgren is no longer the GM. He wrecked this team big time with some very bad contracts and they promoted him to President of the Flyers. .

Berube is a miserable sob and needs to go. Giroux might be the most overrated player in franchise history.
