    Hell yeah !!

About time this team started scoring like we knew they could !

They definitely had jump and energy last night

Even more impressive that they played the night before

JVR showing some great flashes...I thought maybe sending him down might help him get his confidence back but right now he's flying

I'm heading down next Tuesday I hope they keep up the winning

    You guys are on fire.
Now if someone could tell that assclown Carcillo that you aren't supposed to celebrate when you get manhandled....

    when did carcillo get manhadled?

anyways, that was a nice win agaist an upper echelon team

too bad Toronto stole a goal from Gagne. It was clearly in the net. Anybody know were the war room in toronto gets it's replay shots? from what is broadcast on tv???? it was funny how they showed the replay that clearly showed the puck in the net AFTER the goal was disallowed. seemed the commentators knew as well (i had the pitt feed) because they kept saying they thought the penguins were going to catch a break.

I like JVR, and hope he gets more ice time. he is going to be a good player, or at least he should be considering he was the number 2 pick in the 07 draft.

    anyways, good win.

Did you watch the toronto-flyers game?
He didn't get beaten to a pulp because there were only a few punches thrown, but he quite obviously lost and was flung around like a ragdoll.

i saw that. not sure i would say either player won or lost. most of the fights that night were like that.

Sorry, pretty obvious he was on the losing end of that one. I know you're a fan so I'll let it slide that you can't admit it ;)

i have to admit, i don't recall that specific fight, however, a take down doesn't = fight win. i remmber the hartnall "fight" where they just layed on the ice and held each other and one other fight where there were a punch or two thrown and then the Leafs guy was falling down and pulled the Flyer guy down with him.

i would admit if a flyer lost a fight. unlike a lot sports fan, i try to be objective when watching a game, even when it involves one of my teams.

oh, and the TSN annoucers were the worst i've heard all season. don't know if they were the toronto guys or just biased, but they sure enjoyed bashing the Flyers.

most annoucers across the league do a good job of not being total homers

I don't usually watch the Toronto games on TSN (I actually try not to watch them at all, but whatever) but the TSN guys are usually pretty good. I find that they usually aren't really biased, per se, but they (Pierre Mcguire) talk way too much, and usually go overboard on 'look how much I know about hockey'.

i watch the games on the Center Ice package and i almost always get the road annoucers. the guys doing the toronto game were by far the worst of the season. second place goes to the boston guys.

i enjoyed the vancouver coverage the best so far. they were very unbiased and actually well informed on what was going on in Philly.

Sorry, when I said I found them 'pretty good' I meant in terms of bias.
As far as announcers go I find them quite annoying.

Yeah i agree about Jack Edwards in Boston what a tool he is

Talk about over the top homerism its disgusting

lot of love for Leighton on the comments on the link just posted.

i'm not sold on leighton. how many goals have gotten thru him to only hit a post or slide just wide? why is he on his 2nd stint with his 4th team?

but as long as they are winning, let him play.

Yeah the old adage...stay with the Hot goalie

I didn't see any of the game last night unfortunately watching the Iggles get stomped

How did they look ? I heard it was only 1-0 heading into the 3rd

Edit : I saw this stat on a different message board : Flyers are 18-3-1 with Powe and Betts in lineup. 4-16-1 without them

wow...2 grinder type guys but what a difference when they play

Well now that the Eagles are out I can concentrate on the Flyers (well until spring training starts anyway :P ). Three in a row and I believe only one point out of a playoff spot so that's good news.

looked good. they were forechecking, being agresive going after the puck. they looked like they wanted to compete, much like the last few games. it's nice to see that effort game after game vs. a period here or there.
