Yeah, man. No problem. Definitely a nice little technique to get the best deal and save a few bucks if possible.

    is that face?

pretty sure my finals tix were $350 per. I had great seats...2nd level, 4th row, behind net where giroux stuffed in the OT winner.

not sure $200 to be a half mile from the ice is worth it. I would like to be there though. I'm 50/50 on this

Damn dude, just went on stubhub and it looks like they are selling pretty well at those prices too. The average price sold is insane.

yeah, craziness. I guess having a NY team in the mix helps keep those prices up.

I said that watching a hockey game at a baseball stadium is probably the same as having lawn seats to a concert

actually they are $ 240 face ...my friend went down and paid last night and he said 2 -ish
    just called him..actually face is $ 240

that's a retarded amount for a reg season hockey game, let alone a game in a stadium that isn't designed for hockey viewing.

    people are dumb

rangers never played in it and the true fans want to be there...yes it is alot but people want to go and are willing to pay ...nothing wrong with that

    but yes it is alot

how is section 103 or 104 phillies fans?

pretty sure 103 is in the RF corner. decent for baseball (as long as the foul pole isn't in your way), no idea how it will be for hockey. I'm just under the assumption that all the seats are going to suck for hockey.

    exactly.

another thing to consider about RF seats is that when the sun sets, it does so right in the face of those in the RF seats. Probably wont be an issue during the middle of winter, but it sucks in the summer. My season tix are in LF by design...the people in RF are generally blinded by the sun during the first three innings of games during the summer.

Just for a few minutes actually.

106/107 are right at the foul pole.

LF seats can't see the phanavision.

when I was in 145 I had to turn around to see the video screen. no big deal. only time it's worth looking at is to see the lineups anyway. I actually liked not being able to see the stupid things like 'make noise' or 'wave your gay towel'

from my seats in 139 I can see the screen just fine. and I don't have to worry about the sun. and I'm lower to field level. LF >>>>> RF
  • We will fight about anything in these threads. I'm glad you enjoy LF. I enjoy RF just fine. 8-) And there's a cool beer chick at a nearby Brewerytown, and the BBQ place is close. LF is near the disgusting Shmitters and the always-packed Tony Lukes.

So.... anyone notice the Flyers lead the league in goals without their former leading goal scorer? :o Speaking of things everyone agrees on, except for one person.

I don't go near ashburn alley. sometimes I'll make the trek to bulls before first pitch, but I hate going back there and dealing with all the die hard fans willing to stand in a sandwich or crab fries line for 2 hours during a game.

best thing about my section might be that there is hopdevil on tap at the stand right outside of my section

I posted that about the flyers not too long ago. pretty funny that some thought they'd struggle to score. carter is thriving with 4 goals on a team with a whole 20 points  . at least he won't have to worry about another disappointing playoff performance

And those crab fries are nasty too.

Sometimes (actually usually) my sister-in-law's idiot boyfriend waits in line for Tony Lukes cheesesteaks so I just give him cash to get me a pork, which is the best thing in the ballpark. Otherwise it's Bulls.

I get one shitter a year and that's about it. What team are we talking about here?

I wonder if Sean Couturier ever dreamed of centering a line with Jagr.

So far the Claude issue doesn't sound too terrible....but until he is cleared to play, i'll have my fingers and toes crossed

This stuff's getting kind of ridiculous.

This article is so vague: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers/20111213_Researcher__Pronger_s_headaches_may_be_traced_to_eye_injury.html

Basically, nobody should play any sport. We should all just sit in a goddam library all the time so we don't hurt our brains. Seriously. I had a concussion when i was 13 and later got a college degree and passed about 10 actuarial exams (don't ask - but they're really fucking hard).

I don't want these guys to get hurt but they are getting paid a lot of money and if they want to play, then let them. It should be their choice.

Guess I gotta buck up and get HBO, huh?

Last year's series was really well done. I don't have HBO down in maryland, so I will have to wait til I'm back up in havertown this weekend to see it (if it's on...we don't have DVR...don't watch much TV other than sports).

Really wanted to hit the game in DC tonight. Have manager in town to ride with me tomorrow. We have to be at Walter Reed VA Hospital at 5 AM. I love my job 99% of the time...tomorrow will not be one of those days. Was looking forward to visiting Walter Reed for the first time (largest VA Hospital in the US) until I foudn out what time our appt is. Have to pick this dude up at his BWI area hotel at 4 AM, which means I'll be getting up around 245 AM. I usually don't go to bed until 12-1, I might as well just stay up all night...just like cramming for a college exam. Anyway, my work schedule eliminated any hopes I had of heading to the game tonight.

Really looking forward to the weekend. Between the baby and this guy's visit, I'm working on next to no sleep this week.
