It just looks like this team is just trying to finish out the season playing at as a low minimum amount of effort as possible while still trying to win a game.

I agree..they seem like they dont care about the reg season anymore

They have had a playoff spot locked up for awhile in their minds...just playing out the string

Problem is if they drop from outta 1st theyre 4th in the conference..just holding on to home ice barely

I agree that this team looks bored. I don't think home ice matters much (last year proved that).

The pens are still 4 points back and the flyers have a game in hand. Gonna be tough for those queers to catch up. I'm more worried about the way they're playing than the seed they end up with. They need to build some momentum going into april. Still time for that...just stay healthy

Yeah, I know. What do they have, two in the hole compared to DC?

And not exactly an easy go of it the rest of the way. Gotta come up big in those games against the Caps and Pitt. Gotta go 2-1 in those at least.

Yeah, two in hand on the craps. The fans down here are such tools. Like they want to be relevant. The caps ads on the radio are hysterical. come out and see the best team in the NHL. really? when did that happen?

EDIT: the two games vs pitt are gonna be huge. especially if the Crier is back. Like I said two months ago...I want no part of the pens in the playoffs

I disagree with this. Having to play those first 2 games on the road is huge. In the 3 series the Flyers started on the road last year, they went 1-5 in Games 1 & 2. It's not every year where you can come back from a 3-0 deficit, you know. :?

a 3-0 deficit is an exception. 2 of the last 3 years the flyers have gotten to the ECF without home ice in most of their series.

home ice doesn't mean much in hockey.

I don't think he is a bad player, small, but I think he has decent skill. At the time, i had hoped he wouldn't have been traded, but atleast we get a first rounder.

Versteeg has been pretty shitty since they got him. That said, he should be more valuable than carcillo or shelly come playoff time.

The flyers are going for it all this year. I have no issue with the trade.

Especially since you can look at that 1st round pick as a borderline 2nd rounder depending on where the Flyers end the season. The difference between a late 1st rounder and a early 2nd rounder is marginal.
