    I love my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    He is so precious!! :)

My little one will be a year old in less than a month, and I was just looking at some pics of her when she was brand new, and it is AMAZING how much and how fast she has grown. Cherish this phase, but as it slips away, just know that there is so much fun to look foward to! :)

    Ahhh
Adria is having 4 bday parties this year.
Once when my hubbies mom was out.
On sunday we had one on our travels at my parents house.
We go home tomorrow and on Sat she gets a double one with another friend of mines kid.
And on Sunday is the one we are throwing for her.
    Lucky kid.

We started Adria on cereal at 4mos.
And I had a friend who waited till after 6 mos to start and it was a huuuuge battle.
    I suggest practicing early.
    We started Adria on barley.

I just noticed this thread for the first time, and I thought the first post was THIS year. Then I find out it was last year. That is soooo cool!! Congrats all mommies and mommies-to-be!

That is so awesome that your bf's mom took you to target! We have relied heavily on help from our families since we had Annabelle, so I know what it feels like when someone helps you out like that. It feels like you've won the lottery, lol. :) I'm sure she will enjoy the play mat!

Our pediatrician told us we could start on rice cereal at 4 months and then fruits and veggies at 6 months. Some doctors prefer that you wait until 6 months to do any solids. Honestly, we fed her very little cereal until the 6 month mark. Up until that time, it was more just like "practicing" eating with a spoon every couple of days. She really didn't like the rice cereal until I started adding a little bit of the stage 1 fruits to it.

I would just check with the doctor and see what she/he thinks you should do. Sometimes, depending on the child's weight, they will suggest starting it sooner or later.

Thanks Brain of J.Lo. it seriously DOES feel like winning the lottery. Gosh, i was SO excited when I got home that I actually put together the swing for Chloe while my bf was at work :p

Thanks for the advice. :D I am going to tell my boyfriend to ask her doctor when she has her next appt.

Happy mother's day to all...those who have their kids and those who are still carrying them (like me!).

John got me 2 mother's day cards...one from our dogs and one from him and as of yet unborn Molly. I'm still not sure how she managed to write the card from inside of me without me noticing....

Wow am I glad to be home from my vacation.
    And so is Adria.

Is it wrong to not want to stay with your parents cause they are of no help at all to you and your baby?
    So frustrating.

She/he is really fine ...playing around in my belly ...i saw that but i wasn´t alright had bad pain on the right side...and my doc was not there and her
Agency was not there...so i went to my hospital ...i was controled everywhere and than i had to wait 4 hours in the CTG Room (9a.m. -2p.m. ) after i went with taxi paid by them to another hospital and i was controled there too

but the doctors and nurses and
midwives where really friendly ...so around 5p.m. i was back in the hospital
and i had to stay there for one night.
    i have a real bad
Blister inflammation .My babe brought me some clothes etc.
next morning they controled the baby for sure .It was boxing :D
i had no more pain but they still wanted to keep me there but after all :
    after lunch i was out.
and yesterday i had a real nice day .We went to my aunt and i got the
baby-weighs (where baby can sleep) where my cousins etc. and i slept already in;)

so out of all i don´t think i will work this last week before my mother time .

yea time is running so fast ...congrates 4 months already -wow:)

Oh, man. I haven't been on the board in a long time. Even though my dd was born before this thread was started, I'll throw out some stats for the baby list:

    baby girl
    due July 24, 2007

    Audrey Elise
    June 17, 2005
    6 lbs. 10 oz.

Hardly a baby anymore! She's a full-fledged toddler, with screeching tantrums and all that good stuff. I love her but she's been wearing me out lately. I just don't have the energy to keep up right now. I almost forget that I'm expecting another one! the good news is that she's finally starting to talk. She was always a bit behind for her age and i was sure we'd have to get a hearing evaluation and maybe speech therapy if she didn't improve after age 2. In the past few months she's tripled her vocabulary...YAY! Now I'm not worried anymore.

Anybody ever hear of such a thing? I learned about this from a Korean acquaintance:

I don't really believe it but it's amusing.

Awww that is TOO cute!! You see, you are influencing her very well...she'll have good music taste by the time your little one comes out of the womb.

I know Chloe was rockin' out in my belly when I went to see Pearl jam last summer. :D I think she LOVES PJ and Neil Finn/Crowded House stuff.

    hey have a question :
When can baby fly with me ...bec. my man is moving to valencia on the 1st of november ...so i wanted to move there two weeks later possible or to dangerous ?
and what airline is safe for baby´s?

We just bought a stroller/ car seat deal. John seems to like to collapse it and open it repeatedly. I can't believe the number of choices for every baby related thing! It makes me a little crazy.

Any recommendations on cribs? We went out with my parents on Saturday (they're getting us the crib & changing table) and my Dad is very anti those combo cribs. You know...the ones that change from a crib to a kid's bed, to a day bed, etc.

The baby should be safe to fly by then. My mom flew with my sister when she was only 3 weeks old and everything went fine.

As long as your doctor says its fine to fly everything should be good.
There isnt one airline thats any better with babies than others.
Unless maybe ones that still have smoking on them, I might not go on those if they exist. I know they dont here but I have never flown overseas.

We bought Adria a combo crib from Ikea.
Its very simple and in a wood finish.
I have no complaints about it at all and it is very sturdy.
When we bought it a neighbour told me I would be unhappy because the railing isnt able to lower and raise for when you are putting baby down or doing a change.
But it really never affected me at all.
I do find it harder now that she is at the lowest setting for the bed.
Reaching down to pick her up or sooth her in the middle of the night.
Anyway we had Adria in a pack and play in our room for the first 3 months anyway so I didnt even use the crib for a while.

Im crossing my fingers for tonight and tomorrow going well.
Adria had her one year MMR shots today.
She was a brave girl and only cried a bit.
Apparently theres a bit of an outbreak happening in north america with both measles and mumps right now too. So better to get them done on time.
Next ones at 18 months and then done till she goes to school.

Man Ive nevedr heard if a crib/cot/bassinette on a plane.
That would have been so helpful many times for me.
I guess Canadas in country flights arent as good.
They sure dont serve food anymore. And that sucks.

Adria seems to have survived her shots.
I on the other hand have been feeling a bit strapped lately.
Im tired and housework seems to be a hard struggle.
Even having a shower during the day with Adria crying on the other side of the curtain stinks.
    Whew!
Being a mom is a tough job. :D
A standing ovation to all the moms with more than one kid.
