Still, bouncing back from those two bad plays (the INT and the fumble) was impressive. For him to even get them to the point where he needed to complete that final pass to Barber was amazing.

Take away the INT and fumble and we are talking about a Cowboys blowout this morning.

Maybe you didnt notice the fact that your team gave up 37 points to an offense that was down 2 starting offensive linemen and 2 starting wide receivers. Donovan McNabb picked you're sorry defense apart and your safeties and corners got manhandled by Greg Lewis and Hank Baskett...lol..the only team that got exposed on Monday night was Dallas...remember how you were suppose to be the team to beat in the NFC? well last night they proved they have nothing but a RB (who shows up when he feels like...got shut out in the first half) and a premadonna WR (who has 1..i repeat...1 catch for a large gain..after that he was 2 receptions for 8 yds). Your O-Line did what it was suppose to do and block for your QB and I'll give you Witten..he's a beast..but other than that you didnt do SQUAT. Team to beat my behind...trust me...its gonna be Dallas and Philly at the end and if you think Jim Johnson's defense will make the same mistakes twice then you dont know football in the NFC East. Congrats on your week 2 victory...its a long season..dont start sucking each others dicks yet

Are you delusional? Cowboys hung 41 on that vaunted Eagles defense. And 14 of your points were scored on Dallas mistakes. The INT and the fumble in the end zone. Total gifts to you. Take away those gifts and it was a blowout. Did you notice the average starting position for Eagles drives?

That defense of yours didn't even record a sack last night! So who's defense was picked apart? I saw Dallas hold the Eagles to 7 points in the 2nd half.

Barber showed up in the 2nd half because the Eagles were committed to stopping the run and forcing Romo to beat them with his arm. He started doing that which opened up room for Barber.

If anyone was exposed it was McNabb for once again failing to make a big play in a big game, scary to us Cowboys fans as he is.

Like I said, this is directed to Dallas fans FROM Texas and the surrounding area. Again, my hats off, good game. But don't start talking about "what-if's" as to how it could've been a blow out. That's why you play the game and that's why both sides made mistakes that you could argue could've changed the game. Yes, without Romo fumbling. But then there's McNabb's fumble(confusion), Westbrook's fumble(very very rare) after like a 30 yard gain, then there was the first catch by D Jax that should've been challenged for the 1st down instead of going for the field goal...and on and on....your defense wasn't any good nor was ours. It was a full on shootout. And again, my hats off to a game that came down to the wire. It's too early in the season for at least myself to get nuts over it. All I know is there are now two teams instead of one that are top contenders for the NFC.

Oh and one more thing. I am tired of hearing about how the Eagles were down a couple of receivers. Your starters aren't any better than the guys you ran out there last night. Reggie Brown = not that great.

You're right about that. But with Kevin Curtis in the lineup, a lot changes. I can't speak for others, but I'm not gonna make excuses. It was a good game. You guys won by 4 points and I'm over it. There's 14 games left to play. See you at the end.

Yeah, it was a great a game that could have gone either way. I just don't think anything was "exposed" last night other than the fact that these two teams are leagues above anyone else in the conference (even the Giants) and the Eagles still scare the shit out of me.

only reason he bounced back was because the birds didnt get any pressure on him in the 2nd half. you get some hands in his face and he gets rattled.

Except Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis aren't as good as TO and Crayton and aren't a significant improvement over Lewis, Jackson, etc.

Your whole team revolves around Westbrook and what he can do.

Although as Jackson comes along, he is going to add a whole new, scary dimension to that offense.

Absolutely. The Eagles could very well have walked out of there with a win last night and could do it in December and probably will against most everyone else in the conference.

It's Dallas and Philly at 1 and 2 right now and everyone else in the rearview mirror.

so you think hank basket is just as good or better than kevin curtis and his 77 catches for 1200 yards last year? greg lewis is a piece of shit who would not see the field nearly as much if curtis and brown were in the game either. go do a little research about this game we call football and get back to me. we also didnt have our pro bowl guard for 3 quarters...hence the reason donny mac had to constantly elude your pass rush.

you guys love winning games in september and october though. it is what dallas does best. we'll see you in december and possibly the playoffs...if you guys make it out of your first round game for the first time in 13 years that is.....

I'm sorry, but you're wrong there. With D Jax AND Curtis on the same field changes everything. That's too much speed for any defense. Yeah, you can bump and run one of them, but when the other one is in the slot there's no way. I'm telling you Curtis only opens up more options. And Curtis is better than Crayton, and Brown is a possession receiver so you can't really compare him to Crayton either. TO is in his own league in some aspects so there's no way of making a comparison there.

Curtis and Brown played in the Dallas games last year. Philly lost the first one and won the second while only putting up 10 points. Of course, Jackson wasn't there yet.

Anyway, say what you want but the only players that worry me and most other Cowboys fans are Westbrook, McNabb and the entire Philly defense when they bring the blitz which they did not do enough of last night.

Although that Jackson kid will be a game changer for y'all.

No..I'm not delusional..as a matter of fact your team has pretty much already been crowned the NFC representative and I would think as such your team would "show up" on a Monday night...the Eagles on the other hand have not been picked to do much and as such have proven the doubters WRONG. Donovan McNabb did things in that game such as scrambling out of a jam that Tony Homo could only dream of doing so heres ther deal...we'll mark this down as a early season fluke...Dallas is way better defensively than they showed and Philadelphia is way better defensively than they showed..lets see how the rest of the season plays out and then we'll boast whos better...my money is on one heck of a fun NFC east season..GO BIRDS!

The other WRs for PHilly won't make too much difference compared to the ones they had last night. McNabb did well with the one's he had. I kept wondering why Dallas's didn't blitz more often. I kept yelling, go big. They kept bringing 4 or 5 only. In the 2nd half it eventually started to work, but I'd like to see more blitzing in the 2nd meeting and in the next game against GB. In the end both Romo and McNabb had good games, but both tried to give the game away. After all that offence, Dallas's D was the one that prevailed and won the game.

Oh, I think that petrocs (or whatever) may be the most dellusional fan that posts. I'm die hard Cowboys, but I can see what's really happening.

    Yeah, I do.

I also remember seeing Romo and company lighting up Lito Sheppard and Asante Samuel last night to the tune of 21 of 30 for 312 yards and three TDs (and an INT).

Bottom line: nothing is settled. Too early to get nuts. See you in December when we are both 13-3 or something like that.

The other WRs for PHilly won't make too much difference compared to the ones they had last night. .

are you on crack? or do you just not follow football much?

    Yeah, I do.

I also remember seeing Romo and company lighting up Lito Sheppard and Asante Samuel last night to the tune of 21 of 30 for 312 yards and three TDs (and an INT).

Romo and co. did a good job and it could have been for more, but I think the running game is improved this year and that is huge for us. I swear though, the best improvement of this year vs last year is Zach Thomas. That guy is just a great player.

i would love that. to close out texas stadium with the birds celebrating on that big stupid star! but you guys will have to win a playoff game first. oooohhhh....such a daunting task for a team that hasnt won one since the mid nineties.....you think you can do that? you think your coach can win his first playoff game of his 10+ year career? i really hope so. cuz i would LOVE to see another birds/girls game in the playoffs! GO BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
