and Kyle Kosier looks poised to take back his starting job at Left Guard after suffering a hair-line fracture (in his foot or lower leg, around there). that's good news. some not so good news though, Anthony Spencer's knee is still sore from arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose piece of "material."

Just watched the 95 NFC championship game. Man those were good times.

Dallas is completely capable of beating GB this week and they should do so.

Agreed, but it wouldn't shock me if they lost either. I have them losing 4. This could be one of them.

you're certainly right. the packers have a legitimate shot at beating the cowboys... that includes the fact that they're 0-5 in lambeau field. but i feel that the cowboys should definitely win this one and if they're gonna lose it should be by a field goal or something. this game should really set the tone for the cowboys season. and if they're going to be champions or show signs of wanting that then they better get after aaron rodgers. had he started last season cowboys wouldn't have gotten that early lead and the score woulda been much different.... perhaps even a loss.

Another thing to consider is that this is sort of a homecoming for Romo. GB is the team of his area and his favorite team growing up. It would be nice to see a great performance by him, may be he will be espcially inspired today.

    1. Dallas looked like the better team tonight. GB does have an excellent secondary. When Romo had time, there wasn't much open.

    2. We've got to clean up our play, all the fucking talent in the world out there, but the is the NFL we've got to clean up the errors. We should have put that game away much earlier.

Overall, I think winning this game in is a good sign for Dallas.

there is ONE glaring statistic that has really stuck out at me this year. the Cowboys have ZERO interceptions on defense. ZERO. I know we've won and that's all that matters, but this kinda bothers me.

either way, good win tonight. Felix Jones way to spark up the team. good to see Miles Austin make huge plays tonight. T.O. didn't look happy with 2 catches, don't think it'll be a big deal to him as long as the team keeps winning. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that T.O. has 2 catches in the last 6 quarters of play. Barber is a bear, looked amazing tonight, as well as the O-Line. and Jason Witten, man just can't say enough about him; he's very reliable and as solid as a rock. my 2 cents, GOOD night everybody.

The turnover thing is starting to bother me. I mean, NO interceptions in three games?

They were able to stop TO but in doing so couldn't stop Barber and everyone else.

I don't know what to think about this game. Nice win against a good team in their home but it was kind of ugly. Another couple of bonehead plays by Romo. It was a good bad game.

well, it seems we can expect Romo to make one blunder per game, but the good news is, he seems to forget about quickly and gets it going again. Madden was all over Wittens' jock and deservedly so. That guy is incredible. TO didn't look too happy, but didn't he drop 2 as well? No big deal as he was smiling at the end of the game. Austin taking advantage of the situation and not screwing it up...very nice. Ware had a good game.....Both Jones' played well with Felix looking VERY promising.

    3-0

One thing to note about the defense. They definitely showed a new wrinkle last night as Anthony Henry has played his 1st 104 games in the NFL without a sack, but had 2 sacks last night.

Even though they can't get an interception, the defense is piling up the sacks.

We did have some easy opportunities for INTs in that one.

A needless forced pass that was an easy INT, two intentional groundings (although one was bullshit), a strange looking fumble, a bad miss to TO on the crossing route, and looking over-anxious at times.... its wasn't a very good game for Romo. He did very well most of the time and seemed to recover from his mistakes easily, but he needs to keep his head together. He's got a great team and is completely capable of playing great, as we all know. I see him on the after and before game interviews and wonder if his head is really as into this as he should be. Very possible that he just doesn't reveal very much, but I'm wondering about his confidence. Someone needs to shake him, he's got the f-ing ability, there is no reason to be intimidated.

Right about Romo. What I liked about him from the beginning was his "go out there and have some fun and win some games" Now that we KNOW what he can do, it somehow lost a little of it's cuteness. He needs to step up and be a leader

personally, I just think the thing with Romo is that he tries to do TOO much. sometimes it's better to just scramble out and throw it away or just throw it out of bounds in the general area of a receiver. no need to try this hard, just take the loss of down, it's always better than loss of yards or an interception. the coaches NEED to get that in his head.

like that flub against the Eagles.....just take the safety.

although he would been a miracle worker had he pulled it off

Giants have played nothing but three sorry teams so far and struggled to beat one of them (Bengals).

Dallas beat two teams people consider to be Super Bowl contenders and only struggled against one of them - the Eagles.

hey, it happens..Patriots struggled against quite a few teams last yr. and I'll say it again..if we LOSE to those 3 sorry teams we STILL don't hear the end of it..lose lose situation with the haters. I can accept it tho...EVERYONE wants to get at the team at the top..the team with the Super Bowl Title and rings :D

and who's the great super bowl contender? Pittsburgh??? have you watched how theyre playing this yr??? please...you SHOULDA won against their sorry asses..or Green Bay??? with a brand new QB and still kinda undetermined where they should rank

and dont tell me philly cause they're one more injury away from R.I.P

    1. I know. We are very familiar with that feeling from winning in the 90s. Everyone hates a winner.

    2. We haven't played Pittsburgh. The two contender I meant were Philly and Green Bay.

    3. On this we agree. They lose Westbrook and/or McNabb for a long time and they will be done.

Peter King has 'em ranked #2. I'm sure ESPN will have them in the top 3 or 4 when they release their power rankings.

Eagles are Super Bowl contenders. But as we discussed, injuries may do them in before the season is out.

We should just have an NFC East thread since most of the football fans on here are fans of NFC East teams and we all jump on each other's threads and fight it out anyway.

fucked up a bit? romo has only had one bad game against the packers. the other 2 games he's had 100+ ratings... yeah, sure a bit. but nothiing so far to worry about. this last game... i give credit to the packers defense... neither the eagles or bengals had put enough pressure on romo as had the packers.

but i'll give you that one though... giants are the champs. regardless of what regular season stats might say about you guys or winning in close games to inferior teams they've done what the cowboys havent' been able to do as of late. i want them to show up in the playoffs... i'd personally want a cowboys - giants rematch. and would like to see the cowboys blow you guys out.
