Yeah just ignore him. He comes to every Howard thread. I think he actually may be the real Opie. Even his location is Opie related.

actually.. i got this nickname back before i even knew who O&A were...got it the same way Opie did tho.. they called me it cuz i reminded my coworkers at McDonalds back in 1996 of Opie Taylor from Andy Griffith show...

its just a coincidence that we share the same nickname

First of all, fuck O&A.

As far as Riley, I think he's funny as hell. I listened to his last show & it was a riot. I love how the callers stick with the joke and don't just prank him, they actually ask "legitimate" questions as though they really buy into his shit.

That said, he's a complete tool. That argument the other day was so frustrating because Howard couldn't get one point across. Riley wouldn't shut up for two seconds & kept spouting the same bullshit over & over. Howard needs to just completely ignore him for a while. He'll come crawling back when he hasn't had any attention for a while. And if he doesn't, Richard & Sal have enough recordings of him to keep us laughing for years.

But isn't that the fun part - the fact that people like Riley and Eric the Midget don't realize they're nuts and Howard plays off of that.

Yeah that is what is so funny. I also love when someone calls in and just rambles and no one can get a word in and Howard lowers their voice and they make fun of the person while you can still hear the person ranting in the background.

The fact that they played Even Flow makes that show even cooler! I love that they replay the Wrap Up show now.

When they did that with Crazy Alice a few weeks ago, that was classic. Next day they played the isolated track of Alice ranting without them talking over her. It was funny as hell.
