Very boring interviewer. But remember saying that after the PJ/Eddie interview and people pushed back. Lol.
You don't like him. That's fine.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I will respectfully disagree with the last few recent posts.
I enjoyed todays surprise show with Lars. Sure didn't expect 10 minutes of Lars discussing his love for Oasis.
He has created a place in the media world where celebrities are lining up and begging to be on the show. Unfortunately for them he only does 120 shows per year and maybe 40 interviews.
He is a long form version of the late night hosts. The subjects are always there to pimp their latest project. His producers do a deep research dive and are able to produce lots of fun tid bits but in the end they are there to pimp their products.
That being said he does miss things and the subjects have to repeat some things.
Other than his interviews, I like the bits, pranks, and internal spats. I do not like the endless discussions about his learning guitar, playing guitar, guitars, guitar players, etc.
I rarely listen live so I use the fast forward often.
I understand he's not for everyone.

Loved HS as a young man. Lost touch. Loved the eddie (pj) interview. I wish he talked to the whole band more. Just fun anyway.0 -

Oh yes. That stinks. Those guys were a riot. Loose cannons. Great part of my past oddball listening pleasure. I remember when CC was bragging about not paying taxes then he got locked up.
Saw him outside of a sold out Tool show in nyc. I think he was trying to score tix too! I could be wrong.
Anyway.. back to 2025!!!!0 -

I love Stern but I can't imagine that there will be many subscription cancellations if/when his show is over.
he only "works" like 3 days a week I think and generally from his home studio
My guess is that he'll take whatever offer they give him because why not? He's already got millions in the bank and he will want something to keep him busy for 20 hours a week.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I think staying silent is the best option in negotiations (versus taking a shit on your boss / company, as other high profile / high pay talent have tried).Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

Scott Greenstein, Sirius President and Chief Content Officer, at a Bank Of America conference yesterday:
"We’d love them to stay. It certainly has to make sense, but we feel pretty good that we’ve done this before, and we’ll see where it goes."
Jennifer Witz, Sirius CEO:
“I think he’s been core to our platform for over 20 years. So I’m confident we’ll get to the right place."
Used to LOVE Stern. First started listening in the mid 90s. I was even on the show once (was supposed to arm wrestle Mr. T for an Xbox in 2001).
Haven't listened regularly for a while. No real reason, maybe music and sports radio just took all my listening bandwidth.
I canceled my subscription shortly after the band was on last year. I was paying the lowest possible price, and had that price locked in in perpetuity, but I didn't listen to either of his channels, the PJ channel, or anything else.May your days be long, til kingdom come.0 -

I dont know why Stern doesnt jump into podcasting. That seems to be right up his alley. No set schedule, 100% creative control, fresh, no pressure.0
