    Isnt he superold?

Very boring interviewer. But remember saying that after the PJ/Eddie interview and people pushed back. Lol.
LOL...he's one of the best interviewers in the business
I imagine people have been told enought times that he is, so they believe it.
I believe it because I listen to them. And I listen to others. He's a great interviewer.

You don't like him. That's fine.

I've  been listening to Howard since he was in DC. 40+  years.
I will respectfully disagree with the last few recent posts.
I enjoyed todays surprise show with Lars. Sure didn't  expect 10 minutes of Lars discussing his love for Oasis.
I'll ask you then.  Do you like his interviewing style? He doesn't come off as a tool to you?  He is like a cheerleader to me now.
I do enjoy his interviews. But, if anyone expects him to challenge his subjects they live in a fantasy world.
He has created a place in the media world where celebrities are lining up and begging to be on the show. Unfortunately for them he only does 120 shows per year and maybe 40 interviews.

He is a long form version of the late night hosts. The subjects are always there to pimp their latest project. His producers do a deep research dive and are able to produce lots of fun tid bits but in the end they are there to pimp their products.

That being said he does miss things and the subjects have to repeat some things.

Other than his interviews, I like the bits, pranks, and internal spats. I do not like the endless discussions about his learning guitar, playing guitar, guitars, guitar players, etc.
I rarely listen live so I use the fast forward often.

I understand he's not for everyone.
