Just started reading ''The Bell Jar'' by Sylvia Plath. This is my second time reading.

What a great book! I'll have to give it another read one of these days myself.

I'm reading Ocean Warrior by Paul Watson. This one got me hooked on the first page!
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

If anyone is interested, I had a FREE short story come out a couple of weeks ago. Here's the link:
    http://www.amberquill.com/store/p/2279-Levitation-The-Story-Of-Rollins.aspx

If you read it, please let me know what you think! You can download it on an e-reader or as a PDF onto your computer.

Synopsis: In the sector of Sol, it is illegal to perform a telekinetic act in public. The government calls these individuals “Teles” and they are a menace to the people, at least that’s what fifteen-year-old Nicholas McCready has always been taught. But what does Nicholas do when he discovers that someone close to him could be a Tele?

Living in a world where drones rule the streets and air, Nic begins to uncover an unimaginable secret about his older brother, Rollins. A few months back, Rollins was spotted entering a rundown warehouse, nicknamed Hell’s Warehouse by the locals, and ever since then he has been acting really strange at home.

When a mysterious message pops up on his older brother’s Receiver, Nic sets out on a quest, secretively following Rollins to the warehouse only to discover something beyond believable, leaving him with more unanswered questions than when he arrived. Will Nic side with the government or his own flesh and blood? The fate of Rollins’s life is now in Nic’s hands.

NOTE: Levitation: The Story of Rollins is a prologue to the upcoming Young Adult novel, Levitation.

Genres: Young Adult / Science Fiction / Futuristic / Paranormal / Action / Adventure
Length: Free Short Story (3k words)

It looks like he grew up in Kansas/Ohio and sometimes Mexico. He was a big voice during the Harlem Renaissance.
