  • Hopefully both teams continue to play well...that would make for a great game in foxboro in a few weeks!

I really hope it will be a great game but man does New England look good and at home.......fingers crossed I guess.

I live in the thick of Patriots country, so I"m just keeping my mouth shut and hoping for a good game. And when Dallas wins, I'll be the only one smiling.
I love to turn you on

My bad. I took Steve Dunne's word for it without looking....hahahaha......that gives us a little advantage anyways.

Tailgating is allowed. Here is a cut & paste from the Cowboys policy: TAILGATING: Tailgating is allowed on all Texas Stadium Parking Lots. Our parking lots open 4 hours before kickoff. You may occupy only as many spaces as you have parking passes. If you are bringing a grill that is on a trailer, you must have an additional spot for the trailer. Ash Cans and Trash Cans are conveniently located throughout the parking lots for your use. Please use safety in all your tailgating activities.

Tickets for all games were sold out months ago so you would have to go to a ticket broker.

Texas Stadium is a dump though. Although I would like to get there one more time before it closes.

For awhile it was banned, but I can't remember if it was the Cowboys or the city of Irving that did that.

for metsfan and corduroyboy.... you guys sound like little kids.

    it's just a game.

the official bears thread is much more diplomatic and civil.

    i'm a cowboys fan, btw.

ok, change of subject. what are the chances the cowboys advance deep in the playoffs?? like say, even up to the superbowl????

If the team plays at this level for the rest of the year, I would say NFC championship game for sure.

However, i doubt the offense will keep up this quick pace. Somewhere along the line the defense is going to have to play solid for an ENTIRE GAME.

With the return of greg ellis and newman becoming healthier over the season, the cowboys could very well end up being the nfc champions.

Great game today - even if it was just the Rams.

I'm sure all of you saw that incredible drive just before halftime when Romo ran about 35 yards backwards to get that high snap and still ran for the 1st down. That turned the game around right there. The Cowboys proceeded to shove it down the Rams' throats and take a 14-7 lead to halftime, totally demoralizing St. Louis.

What more can you say about Romo? Its time to give him that contract.

And as far as the Rams go, they should be prosecuted for assault or abuse or something for leaving an obviously broken down Mark Bulger out there to take that beating. That wasn't even fair.

    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • I remember saying "Fuck it, they should put in Romo" to my friends during a game against the Giants last year.....

I am pretty sure his first pass was intercepted and they laughed their asses off. They were laughing when the snap went over his head and he even kicked it further back during the game yesterday. HAHA not only did he recover, he got the first down. Friggin awesome. They aren't laughing anymore (all giants fans)

    Patrick Crayton FTW

No one should be laughing at him now. No one at all. I'd rather have him than Eli Manning. At least this Cowboy team is behind Romo 100%, which is more than you can say for the Giants and Eli.

All I know is I haven't had this much fun watching the Cowboys in a long, long time. I no longer sit here expecting the worst to happen.

I know they haven't really played a really strong team yet, but the inconsistent Cowboys of the last few years wouldn't be 4-0 right now. They would have dropped one or two of those games.

Look at last night's game. You think that was fun for either the Eagles or Giants fans?

You are correct, good sir. I did raise my eyebrows in disbelief when Wade Phillips was named head coach.....but it's working so far....the offensive play-calling has really improved beyond even what Sean Payton ran. The defense seems to be get better each week.

As to Wade Phillips, doesn't the San Diego situation say something about the importance of the right coaches in the right situation??? They lose both co-ordinators and the head coach and go straight into the toilet.

  • So anybody know the word on Anthony Henry?

    Question for fellow Cowboy fans:

Who do you pull for when Phily, Wash and NYG play each other? Do you root against the best record or do you just want Phily to lose everyweek?

Philly vs. Wash=pulling weakly for Philly (or against whoever needs a loss hung on 'em)

    Philly vs. NYG=Giants...no problem

    NYG vs. Wash=Giants...no problem

Henry has a high ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated today. X-rays were negative yesterday.

I pull for whatever situation helps the Cowboys the most. For example, I pulled for the Giants last night because the Cowboys have already beaten them and it puts Philly further behind.

It just depends on where everyone is in the standings.

Very hard to root for any of them though.

Didn't hear about the fans in S.D.......wow.......somewhere Marty is smiling.

I suspect that Jason will hang around Dallas awhile because Wade is keeping the seat warm.

  • my predictions.... cowboys will end 13-3 or a 12-4 record. the only games they could possibly lose are against the packers, patriots, and possibly the giants, as they will meet again later in the season. and they will have a horrible game against a semi-crappy, semi-good team... like say the redskins or lions. but looking at the schedule and the way the teams have been playing so far there are no legitimate challenges other than patriots, packers and maybe (with a smaller chance) the giants.

but if they beat the patriots after they beat the bills they'll start on a 6-0 record... afterwards facing the vikings which they'll most likely win, so in their bye week they'll have a 7-0 record... which is quite possible (although i don't want to jinx the team by getting ahead of myself {knock on wood}) still it's quite a gesture to say and i wouldn't be surprised if the cowboys only lose 1 or 2 games in the season. the analysts were mentioning that the patriots might very well go undefeated this season. i wonder what they will say about the cowboys if they beat the patriots.

but it's too early still

You know, the Patriots aren't that great yet. They have gone 4-0 against teams with a combined record of 4-12.

The Cowboys have gone 4-0 against teams with a combined record of 3-13.

Both teams need to hold off on declaring their greatness until after 10/14.
