What are everyone's thoughts on the Eagles? I've been reading several of the articles in Philly papers. It is funny to me how much more seriously they take this rivalry than Dallas does. Like their whole season is judged by their success against the Cowboys.

I feel like the eagles are Dallas's biggest rivalry. I get more worked up for the two games against them more than anyother. I despise Philly more than Wash, NYG, SF or GB. I think Philly fans are pretty fanatic about their sports. They are classically rude to their own players, which is the exact opposite of Cowboy fans who classically worship their players. I'm glad their is so much animosity between the Dallas and Philly, it adds to the game.

BTW - Eastern Penn is just gorgeous, but damn, the people I met their were rude as fuck.

One thing about Dallas/Philly is that the better team usually always wins. And when Dallas is up, the Eagles are down, and vice versa.

With Washington though, you can throw the records out the window because you never know how a game is going to turn out. It doesn't matter how much better than the other a particular team is.

I always thought they were throwback Dallas Texans unilooks. Regardless, they suck shit. I wish they'd wear white every game.

That's why I didn't mind playing a Green Bay or San Francisco in the NFC title game becaue I knew we would wear the whites regardless of who had the home field.

Agree 100% I wouldn't even know who we were playing sometimes as a kid, but if I saw those blue uniforms, I knew we were doomed.

They were probably rude as fuck because you must have been wearing a Dallas jersey or hat.

We are classically rude to players who do not give their all or disrespect the Philly fans. Its a blue collar town that works hard, and we expect our teams to do the same. Dallas fans however classically worship coke addicts and thugs like Michael Irvin.

    Good Luck on Sunday.

You people booed Santa Claus. You also clapped when Irvin broke his neck. Philly fans deserve very little respect. I'd like to see all you "tough" guys who boo God and everybody get your ass on the field and play some football.

We will destroy you this weekend.

First off, it was 1968, let it go...

And as for Michael Irvin, I was at that game, and certainly did cheer as soon as he got hit, but everyone cheers for big hits in football. That's what the game is about, but obviously did not want to see the man permanently injured. Sure there were rowdies that were cheering when they took him out on the stretcher, but others were cheering to give feelings of good will.

Either way, its a rivalry, its what makes watching sports fun. When did we boo God? And I'm not getting paid millions to play football, but if I were, I would expect to be booed if I didn't produce.

I wouldn't overestimate us on Sunday, I'll give you credit, you guys are the better team, but we need these game or our season is essentially over.

    Good luck.

wasn't wearing Dallas anything and they weren't just rude to me, but just in general. Wasn't everyone, but way more than anywhere else I've been. I remember an ESPN segment called, "Philadephia: the worst city to play for" that was all about how ugly the fans were to their players and everyone else's too. Sure its probably overboard the other way in dallas, but I think most players would prefer to play for Dallas. Michael Irvin - my all time favorite player, don't care about the bull shit.

It wasn't a big hit. He was blocking. The hit was probably not noticed by anyone in the stadium. Just a freak play.

Not to take this off-topic of Dallas, but I'm sure there are just as many players, if not more, that loved to play in Philly, than hated it. Certainly, I'm biased like everyone else, but I think that Philly unfairly gets a bad rap because of a few incidents, when other cities have had similar incidents but receive no reprecussions.

  • it bugs the crap out of me how these espn "professional" analysts predict games to turn out...

they predicted cowboys-eagles game would turn out 24-20 in cowboys favor.... i was predicting the score 45-10 in cowboys favor.... and it almost happened.... it almost turned out to be what i predicted, go figure.

ok, it's fine if people don't believe in this year's cowboys... but come on... do they have to be such cynics to the point where it kinda gets pretentious?

i'm betting cowboys will be going 14-2 this season.... that's if they beat the giants next week. they'll lose against the packers... and that's it.

yeah, if haters can be pretentious well so can i :p

Nice. Always sweet to get a win in Philly.

The local news just ran a story where a Dallas reporter interviewed Philly fans and that guy took all kinds of shit and the Philly fans were being all rowdy and shit, talking about how great they are and how much Dallas sucks. They sure were quiet during the game though when they weren't booing their own team.

I think the window up there has closed. McNabb is not the QB he used to be, not by a long shot.

Sort like the list between Danny White and Troy Aikman........isn't Anthony Wright still in the league??? Drew Henson made some nice cash for doing nothing....then there is Quincy "Cocaine" Carter.
