  • I know the final score but I had to miss this game. Have it DVRed, so I'm about to watch it. I know its not the same, but I think I can enjoy watching Romo go 20 of 25 in a win against the eagles without the suspence.

Pay special attention to the plays where MBIII was supposed to pick up the blitz but instead let the rush go by and Romo flipped the ball to him for big gains. This happened at least twice.

Also watch for the Eagles blitz where NO ONE picked up TO and Romo hit him in stride for a 45 yard TD.

    Hell yeah!

You know, they fined Ramsey a game check for spearing Jules Jones in the head, but what about they guy that speared Witten in the head? That was clear helmet-to-helmet contact.

OK, who else is fired up for the Giants? They have already started talking. I am looking forward to this one more than any game so far. I can't stand that overrated loud-mouth TE of theirs.

Unlike week 1, the Cowboys defense will be playing at full strength this time. Newman and Ellis weren't there the first time. And now Tank Johnson is on board.

Chris Snee said "we'll see" if the Cowboys are the best in the NFC East. That's right Chris, we'll see.

Edit: Actually it was Chris Snee who said "we'll see". Amani was just talking about how much better the Giants are now than in week 1. Ooops.

man, it annoys the crap out of me. they see the stats, they see the records and even still with that in mind the cowboys have already beaten the giants once. what more do they wanna see to consider cowboys the top of the nfc east? (i would argue the entire nfc but whatever). even if the giants tie the cowboys, the word would still be out on who's better in the nfc east. cowboys blew out the dolphins. giants won by a field goal. what else can we say?

Probably something to do with the NFL/Pepsi promotion that's going on as we speak. I noticed a 20 oz Diet Pepsi last night with Roy's picture on it down at the Walgreen's.

It's all good Cory....and thanks Flagg....I just thought it was odd...usually don't see jersey's on sale for current players is all.

They have a cool tshirt with the ref with his arms making a TD call that says "Tis call brought to you by the Dallas Cowboys offense"

I like the Marion Barber t's too.

It was great going into work on Monday wearing my Cowboys jacket...not one person said a word to me about the game after all week I kept hearing how Dallas didnt beat anyone or Romo hasnt beaten anybody.....I told them we beat 3 teams that they already lost to but that didnt matter.

Next up, Eli and the Giants....can't wait to rattle his cage like usual. This will be the beginning of the end for them, like every year.

Im torn though....my hatred for the Eagles is preventing me from hoping they win this weekend even though it would help us.

Oh besides living in Philly and being a "Boys fan, my new boss lives in Delaware and is a 'Skins fan.....fantastic!

This is a massive week for me...I grew up in upstate NY and nearly all my friends are fans of the G-Men. To me beating them multiple times in a season has become almost as important as any late season success. On that note does anyone else here find it funny that ESPN talking heads (Around the Horn for example) keep talking about all the Giants people missing from their first loss (which is fair), but never mention the fact that the Cowboys didn't have Newman, Ellis, or Tank?

Look what happened last week when we finally had 1 very good DB, 1 good DB, and 1 mediocre DB our pass defense actually had a 'coverage' sack for the first time since I think Deion Sanders, Larry Brown, and Kevin Smith were out on the field...against D-Nabb no less! Now we add Tank who's only job was to eat for the last 8 weeks, along with Ware and Ellis, I would say we actually have a good-ish Defense now.

With the Giants improved D I am looking at a 31-24, 24-17 type game rather than the pseudo Miami-Jets game from the 80's we saw in Game 1. However the two teams put up those numbers without any real mistakes, and without the Boys scoring in the first quarter so who knows actually.

P.S. I hate Eli Manning and everything (he did go to a school in Ole Miss which is named after a slaveowners wife), but since he's played in the NFL we have NEVER rattled his cage. I'd like to see it happen this time, but we need to do something different for that to happen.
  • stylo17stylo17 Posts: 1,001
I expect to see some pretty good things from Tank this week. I understand it's a different position to him, and he hasn't played in a while and won't play much this week, but he's fresh. His body shouldn't be sore or tired; he should wake up fine in the mornings. I'd like to see what he can do this week playing against linemen that have been killing themselves for 8 weeks already.

The college that he attended is the University of Mississippi or Ole Miss......the river, state, and colleges are named after a Native word....the school is not named for anybody. That's a strange little urban legend you got going there.

You can't get any from or do any with all the stuff named after former slave owners in the South.....for hundreds of years they were the only people down here with money and/or education.

    Beat the Giants.

The Ole Miss stuff, as it pertains to the University, is definitely true, and I have a 580 page dissertation written by Joshua Newman to back me up on it. If you want I can ask him where in the historical record of the school he found it...I'm pretty sure it was in the late 1800s when it came about. I can also direct you to the project (which he cannot find a publisher for because its not economically smart for a publishing house to produce a book that calls out an entire university for being racist) if you are interested. Anyway you are right the main issue is the Cowboys beating the Giants.

Tie game at halftime but I don't feel real good about this one. Despite a pick and some sacks, the Giants are having their way on time of possesion.

Kevin Burnett better not be on the field in the 2nd half. Way to single handedly swing the momentum back to the Giants, dumb ass.

Alright, I stand corrected. Way too much Romo and too much Owens and too many Giants penalites and dumb plays. Nice win. Series sweep for the year and full control of the NFC East.

Eli Manning is not now and never will be a big game QB. And the Giants score 3 points in the 2nd half. Three.

I think the top two teams in the NFL are now New England (1st obviously) and Dallas. I think we could beat Indy if we had the chance.

First I was pretty close on my 31-24/24-17 prediction (should've said cowboys, but I think it was implied), second pretty sweet win for the cowboys this week. I went to the Washington/Philly game today, because I live in B'more and didn't get the Cowboy game, and I have to say that Washington is not the type of team to beat the Cowboys. They have a fairly strong running game, but James Trash went down with an injury late, and the rest of the receivers looked their age for that squad. I think we will let them stick around longer than we should, but in the second half hang a good 34-10 pasting on them next week if things go the way they should. Of course, last time I thought that I watched the Buffalo D and Special teams nearly outscore Dallas for the win, and Washington's D, and ST are not so bad...so hopefullly Dallas won't be stupid. We just gotta keep it going, and hope that Green Bay finally slips up again, even though they are probably just as solid.

G-girls are the biggest trash talkers in the division. Nice quote by Osi:

"They're absolutely not a better team than us," said defensive end Osi Umenyiora. "They may have played better today in the second half, but I'd never say they were a better team."

Umm. Dallas beat the Giants by double digits, twice.
