  • did the Patriots sell their souls to the devil? come on now, how the fuck is a team this lucky? From the tuck rule to last nights game, I have never seen a team have this many breaks go their way. its fucking unreal to me. four fourth down stops and they dont even stop them. that doesnt even make sense! then, to call that a TD? he was juggling that. watch the video. its there for your own two eyes to see as clear as day.

Giants beat them week 17. remember I said that. I want alllllllllllllllllll the glory for being the only one bold enough. you will all laugh and say this is a stupid thing to say, and I am an idiot, etc, etc, etc. i watch all the giants games and all the patriot games (I get cable from both markets) but the giants front four get pressure. as we have seen the past two weeks, that is the key. throw in a blitz here and there, make them pay for catching the ball, and the Giants have a real shot. the patriots have zero run game. zip. nothing. lets see them go 5 wide december 23rd when its windy and 10 degrees on thursday night.

patriots should hope colts get home field by the way (not going to happen unless they give it to them), as the patriots are the ones built to win in a dome this year and the colts are built to win outdoors. jags have a very good shot to beat them in foxboro if it comes down to it.

sounds like typical jealousy. If the pats are 15-0, the Giants will have little chance unless the Pats play backups.

If Moroney stays healthy, the run game will be fine. Aren't they a top 10 run team as it is now?

Ravens fan here who doesn't believe the officiating cost us the game. Reed fumbled it in fg range, Boller threw a pick in fg range, and the offense couldn't get a first down in there 3 final drives before the last time we had the ball with 44 seconds left. They left at least 6 points out on the field, and made no adjustment when the Pats decided they were going to stack McGahee. I'm tired of the whining in Baltimore today, but the Samari Rolle incident with the official caling him 'boy' is totally disrespectful, and needs to be investigated. We played the game of our season last night but when you still lose it just means you aren't very good to begin with. Which we aren't. We have no killer instinct, and weren't able to play the full 60 minutes.

so it was a black official? that makes it better?
i dont recall saying it was any better...funny, lots of people have been putting words into other peoples mouths on here lately. Im just saying that the media woulda had a field day if it was a white official - guaranteed

let me rub my eyes because i must be dreaming. thank you culot4 for standing up and admitting that the refs did not "give" the game to the pats.

The irony as things are shaping up now is that the Giants will likely be resting starters against the Pats. More than likely they'll be locked into a wild card and have to play the following week.

And going into last week, Pats were #7 NFL rush offense, haven't seen updated stats.

Well because it was a black official, it becomes a little less of a race issue and moreso a respect issue. Its still wrong no doubt.

Giants have nothing wraped up! not an impressive team at all, they are a 3 point dog to a 5-7 team this weekend.

Not yet, but by week 17 they should have a wild card wrapped up, hey have a 2 game lead over all other contenders for 1 of 2 available wild card spots.

    i don't think it's stupid at all.

i actually picked the Ravens in my pick 'em league. i was looking pretty good up until the Pats were marching down the field and you knew they were going to score.

i think the key in this game was the play of Boller. he played better than i ever remember seeing him play. that being said, he also threw up a costly and terrible INT when they were in FG range.

who knows what Eli will show up in the game. yea, the Giants front four are awesome but imo Eli is the one who will be the X factor.

    Esther's here and she's sick?

I *have* to admit ... some time around game 8 ... I switched my stance on this ...

If they play all the starters though the regular season, they'll get the bye week to rest up (and they had a late bye week this year as is) ... then it's just 3 games (hopefully) ....

With 3 superbowls won ... my feeling, "Hell ya, balls to the wall!" .... I don't want anyone to get hurt, but damn skippy .... until they lose ... go for it ... 19-0!

from defensive back anthony smith (who i have never heard of):

“People keep asking me if we’re ready for the Patriots,” Smith said. “They should be asking if they’re ready for us.”

“We’re going to win,” Smith said. “Yeah, I can guarantee a win. As long as we come out and do what we got to do. Both sides of the ball are rolling, and if our special teams come through for us, we’ve got a good chance to win.”

“They’ve got Walker and Moss,” Smith said, referring to Patriots receivers Wes Welker and Randy Moss. “But they’re not like Cincinnati.”

#1 i thought a guarantee was 100% certainty, so why does he wuss out and throw in "we've got a good chance to win" at the end?

#2 why be so dumb? yeah, obviously the steelers COULD beat the pats - that's why they play the games - but why give the pats ANY bulletin board material.

#3 yeah, the pats aren't the bengals because the pats talent actually produces victories.

if it weren't for that romo pick... the score would've been closer. pats aren't a great great team in the passing defense. they're still good... but not good enough to have stopped romo for throwing another td pass. sucks though... romo's balls shriveled.

Patriots once again get away with murder
sorry "boy" you mean ray lewis got away with murder ............7 years ago
Let's not be negative now. Thumper has spoken
  • The Cowboys gave them a game because they took away the deep threat and made them throw to the flat and over the middle. That at least makes them sustain a drive rather than the 60+ yard bombs to Moss. It worked for three quarters. The Eagles came close because they did this exact thing while mixing in the blitz. Second time around, the Cowboys have a better shot, but with Bill as the coach, I give the edge to the Patriots every time. The guy did beat two of the greatest offenses in the history of football in the superbowl (Bills and Rams). He knows how to stop great offenses (lets not forget about the colts the past few years).

The Jags will be their biggest challenge in the playoffs. They are a physical team that runs the ball, even when down by a few scores late in the game.

The Giants and Steelers are the two real challenges left in the regular season. Giants do have the pass rush to make it a game, and Eli is, as stated, the X factor. He must play great to beat them. He has it in him, he has to show it. Same can be said for the Steelers. The problem with the Steelers is that if the O line doesnt clear a hole for Parker, he is not the type of back who can make plays on his own. He needs the hole. McGahee is much better than Parker. He can juke and jive his way through congestion as you saw Monday night. Big Ben is without question the X factor here. If he can play very well, not just good but very well, they have a very good shot at winning this game. He has been prone to the big mistake at the key moment as well. It should be a good game.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

The Steelers are going to have a hard time convincing anyone they were jobbed in this one. They look completely average out there. Its funny that the big mouth Steeler safety was out of position on the td Moss burned the secondary for. At first I wanted to see the Steelers win after what happened in Baltimore Monday night, but seeing the Steelers getting exposed as frauds is pretty good too.
