I was saying this was my favorite show ever at the conclusion of last season, but...
This season has been a huge letdown so far. Besides the Jim/new chick/Pam storyline, this season has SUCKED. Michael and Dwight are way too over the top.
There have been a few funny moments in each episode, but the only decent episode this season was the convention.San Francisco, CA 05/15/92 07/16/06

Michael was pretty lame this episode, not very funny. I thought Dwight was hilarious, but to my dismay no Creed parts?! Stanley was actually pretty funny for once, besides the time he chewed out Ryan for hitting on his daughter.
I really could care less about the how Jim/Pam angle, this isn't Friends with Ross and Rachel is it? I understand that a great amount of people watch the show for that, but not me.0 -
I thought this was actually funny this week (Earl rocked my socks off though). I freakin love Dwight, too funny for words. Rainn Wilson is genius. And I do love the Pam/Jim thing, but this season has really killed it.The more I see the less I know for sure. - John Lennon0

I thought it was a kick-ass show last night. Michael's sugar-rush was freakin' hilarious... especially his little dance move during that stupid song. Dwight's quote "you've planted your sales seed, now I'm gonna plant my seed inside you"... Ryan - "I don't think you know what you are saying"... freaking hilarious. And I hope they keep on going with the Dwight-Ryan storyline... good stuff.
Although I can't believe something hasn't been mentioned yet about Pam having to record what Michael does hour-by-hour. This has obvious and serious implications to the story-line. "Jan used to treat Michael like a 10 year old, now she is treating him like a 5-year old"... This to me means that if Michael doesn't improve his performance, he might get fired or possibly demoted. I can't imagine that he would leave the show, but obviously something is going to happen here.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. all i have to say is for the rest of the night my roomate and i were singing "lovefool". that scene in itself was worth watching the entire episode. i think working with Jim would be the best. but i agree i think im sick of the whole love triangle thing. but i guess they have to have some sort of plot to it...0

Yep. The new chick at Stanford is just Pam played by a different actress. It's the same kind of interactions over and over and over. Whenever they cut to the Stanford branch and show her and/or Jim, I just keep thinking 'here we go again...'It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win0 -

its all setup for nov 9th when jims branch closes (probably because michael had the big sale in the convention and the cosby contact is what keeps their branch afloat)Let's not be negative now. Thumper has spoken0 -

Did you just post a spoiler???0 -
I think they will do what they did with the British series. The Stamford branch will close and consolidate with the Scranton branch. Michael will get demoted and the head of the Stamford branch will be his superior... which will cause all sorts of tension. Jim will be caught in a love triangle between the new chick and Pam.

i think that would be hilarious... that means he would be "one of the guys"... it would be really funny to see how everyone would act in front of him if he didnt have power over them. ahhh poor Michael.0 -

Yeah but I'm worried that there is going to be too many characters. Creed didn't make an appearance last week, and lots of other characters didn't even have a line. With all the characters from the other office its just a big cluster fuck... unless some of the employees are laid off.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. NOCODE#1 wrote:wonder why they wrote oscar out
I wondered that same thing. I guess he is supposed to be in Europe for 3 months, but I bet he never makes it back.
The actor who plays Oscar may have went on to a bigger role. His part in the Office was pretty small. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0 -

Nope, Oscar Nunez is writing and producing a new series for Comedy Central; I forget what it's called. He was therefore written out of The Office for the next three months with the Europe trip, but he's coming back.YNWA0
