that's how i felt the first time i watched it. i HATED the finale after first viewing last year once i knew it was a flash forward. just seemed so bleak and depressing. after 8 months of digestion, however, i find the season 3 finale to be nothing but brilliant.
agreed, it was brilliant stuff. they've really done well with the finishers, in my opinion. the scene with locke and jack looking down at the ladder as the camera drops down has to be one of the best ciff hangers ever!
the finale is on the space channel again right now, with no text! i really enjoyed the finale last year, and like it even more now in anticipation of tonight's premiere. happy to hear you're a fan of the finale now!

Somewhat but its not really saying anything. I think its safe to assume that the show will involve something at a later date than the Jack/Kate airport meeting from the season 3 finale. Its not anything earth shattering...nobnody thinks that scene is the end of the story, obviously we're gonna see more in the future of that time, probably Jack going back to the island, or something. Calling it a "flash forward to a flash back" is just semantics and over complication.

in last nights epi they actually said the funeral home was an anagram for flash forward. but yea i think the point they were trying to drive home was this is AFTER they got off the island. they are gonna give us peices to the puzzle and we have to figure out the timeline.

if you caught the missing pieces on abc.com, there was an episode where juliet came clean to jack ... "i think they do not trust me, and they are right not to" kind of thing where she tells jack that ben sent her there.

Very true, but that is when she came clean to Jack and crossed the point of no return with the Others. When she told Jack their plan in the mobisode, it set forth the plan the Losties undertook to take out the Others.
