i saw the one preview where he was by one grave...and assumed it was charlie's. god, now we have to go through claire and hurley discovering our little buddy is gone. :(
but there were a bunch? maybe all the people that were killed on the beach? think they buried the others that they killed?

I heard there will be some more deaths this season so who knows whose graves they are.

One other thing from last night. I'm not sure how many future Jack episodes I can watch. He was so out of it last night - it was painful at times to watch.

that's how i felt the first time i watched it. i HATED the finale after first viewing last year once i knew it was a flash forward. just seemed so bleak and depressing. after 8 months of digestion, however, i find the season 3 finale to be nothing but brilliant. :)

I found instant gratification...thought it was one of the finest 2 hours in network TV history, I think I said as much in the season 3 thread (I'll be damned if I'm gonna go look through it though ;) ).

There were some interesting things I found in the crawl on the bottom last night.

    1. The name of the funeral home was an anagram for "flash forward".

    2. When the guy recognized Jack in the pharmacy line, the crawl said he might not have been recognizing him from the car wreck on the bridge but from the hype surrounding him being found alive after the crash of 815.

oh man ... the part at the end where he hands kate the article about the "man from new york" (ps arent michael and walt from new york.. wasnt it a small casket.. hmmm) and she looks at him and was like "why would i go" i almost cried at his reaction.. like "im so sorry and i know im so out of control but i can't help it and you are hurting me".. oh god and the part where he tries to refill his prescription... i cant take it!

question (which i cannot take credit for, it was in the boston globe's non-spoiler review) - are the flash-forwards really flashbacks, too? is the show's real present tense still ahead of us?

    yes, i'm quoting myself...

try to follow with me for a second.

ben shows jack to red sox winning the world series which took place in 2004. the plane crashed in 2004. the flash-forward in the finale of season 3 'supposedly' takes place in 2006. who is to say that all of the events that have been shown through the first three seasons aren't in the past? that is to say if the premise that it is really 2008 in the world of lost, we the viewers are witnessing things that took place either pre-2004/crash, island 2004 and 2006...so the flash-forwards very well could really be flashbacks from current day. wrap your head around that one.

and i'll take the globe over the herald any day. much better sports section in the globe in my opinion.

Well the show has stretched out over 3.5 years of air time, but the people have been on the island for what 3 months. Of course the events are gonna be technically in our "past" now cause the show doesn't run in real time. I don't see any great revelation from the Globe here.

i wasn't saying it was a great revelation and i'm well aware of the time to write, film, shoot and produce would make it impossible to do so in real time...

people (including myself) are just assuming that everything they are seeing on the island is happening current day and that the flash-forward to the jack/kate conversation in the future. (well, it takes place in the future from when they were on the island).

the only point i was trying to make was that who is to say that the flash-forward to 2006 (season 3 finale) wasn't a flash-forward to current day in future lost time? what if the finale of the whole series takes place in 2007 (with jack going back to the island to meet locke with his arms crossed and a smug "i told you so" look on his face)? that would mean that the 2006 jack/kate conversation would really be a flash-forward to a flashback. get what i'm saying?

What's the difference? We know they have been on the island 91 days, and that the flash forward is after that.

There is enough confusing stuff on the show. We don't need to get bogged down in this.

2.) When Kate says, he'll be wondering where I am when she leaves Jack in the flash forward. I kinda assumed it was Sawyer who doesn't want Kate seeing Jack anymore or another guy, but what if Sawyer really did get Kate pregnant on the island. What if the he she was talking about is really Kate and Sawyer's son? Which would explain why Jack was living alone and not with Kate. Plus Sawyer doesn't seem to be the type to settle down for long or he might have tried to reunite with his daughter and Cassidy and left Kate on her own. Just a theory.

I originally thought the "he" was Sawyer, too. But, after reading an article (I think it was in Entertainment Weekly?) I've come to believe that Kate got pregnant on the island...obviously with Sawyer's baby (lucky bitch!).

Oh...considering that most of you are at work...and I'm at a job that allows me to watch tv...here's what you missed on The View this morning:

Elizabeth Mitchell was on (and smoking hot, Joe). She didn't say a word about the plot...but she did say she received a 2 page email about what she wasn't allowed to talk about...after that she realized there was nothing left to discuss. She said that her 2 year old little boy has a crush on Evangeline and always wants to feed her. And, E, being the sweetheart that she is...lets him feed her.

They showed a short clip, but I won't say what it was to avoid any spoilers.

Also, Whoopi (sp?) also gave us a nice big juicy morsel of info...but, again, I'll refrain from posting in case people want to avoid spoilers.

I can PM the info if you want.

That is all...till tonight at 8pm/7 central.

Somewhat but its not really saying anything. I think its safe to assume that the show will involve something at a later date than the Jack/Kate airport meeting from the season 3 finale. Its not anything earth shattering...nobnody thinks that scene is the end of the story, obviously we're gonna see more in the future of that time, probably Jack going back to the island, or something. Calling it a "flash forward to a flash back" is just semantics and over complication.

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

I just want to see the flash forward of Jack drunk and all pilled up down at Kenmore Square at the Red Sox WS celebration. Maybe he can be riverdancing with Papelbon and his father. ;)

P.S. I like Juliet's character and the way she carries herself, but never got into Elizabeth Mitchell's looks. I'm more of a brunette fan, but that's info for a different thread. ;)
No its quite relevant to the Lost thread, cause there was a healthy debate on whether Claire looked better as a blond or as a brunette in her flas back (or was that a flash forward to a flashbeacked flash sideways?).

(And I preferred the brunette Claire)
