michael emerson was just on the radio here. said that we might not find out who's in the casket until season six and it might be someone we don't even know yet.

well happy lost night folks. Joe i'm kind of offended you didnt put me in the catagory of the "juliet is a liar" with ponce and mer .
so yes pop up video. there were only 1 thing that kinda stuck out... jack did say NEITHER in the funeral home when asked if he was a friend or family... so thats interesting.. but other than that i got nothing from it. i felt like an idiot "here is jack.. he was on an island.. speaking of which.. here it is" .. i mean really?
so again i will ask all you smart people.. any predictions before we get into it. we do know michael is back somehow.. i feel like its off the island. we know these people are coming.. and we know jack is suicidal over the fact that he can't go back to the island.. ok sooo fill in the rest. thanks
I think for most of the people who get off the island, things are going to be tougher than life on the island. I also think we'll find out soon who the "he" Kate was referring to is. I'm going with my guess of it being her son after watching the episode last night.
I also think Jack and Locke are up for another huge confrontation which was foreshadowed by the overwhelming faith vs. science comments last night. I know all the regular viewers know about it, but it just seems like the writer's made a point of emphasizing it last night.
I also going with Ben even though he is thoroughly beaten right now will by the end of the season manipulate Jack or Locke to do his bidding.

well i think jack and locke are always gonna be at odds. thats the beauty of them. i still like locke a whole lot more. he is gonna be huge this season!
so do you think maybe a reason jack is so upset is because they had to leave some behind.. they got off but some didnt and he feels such guilt about that. and i wonder what jack did to kate that would make her so repulsed and stand offish.. we can't just say its sawyer.. he doesn't stand in the way of her love for jack.. something big must have gone down
before the strike we were supposed to get three more 16 episode seasons... not sure exactly what will happen now if this season is only 8 episodes...
I'm worried that we may be losing an hour of Lost. I'm kind of assuming that there would have been a 2 hour season finale at the end of the 16 episode run this year like the last 3 finales. But if they only do 8 and either do 8 extra next year or split it up over the next 2 seasons, I doubt they would have a 2 hour episode thrown in there as the finale for season 4.
Oh, and AllIAm, I'll make sure I'll add you to the bash Juliet club next time.

i was thinking about this.. they may do what they did last year.. have a little mini series in the fall.. give the 8 epis.. and then come back in february and finish it off.. that is if the writers strike ends soon

All I know is there will be a major cliffhanger at the end of epsidoe 8 this year before the "break". Could always do 24 in season 5 to make up for it - as first 3 seasons where 24 each I believe.

Exactly! I think that not everyone is going home - either by choice or from a forthcoming confrontation with either the Others or the boat people.
I think Jack never finished whatever his purpose on the island was and needs to get back.
Well, if you were Kate and found Jack so charming on the island and saw the way he denigrated into a drunken, pill popping, bearded shell of a person you probably wouldn't feel the same about Jack either. I'm sure she still has feelings for him, but she loved "Island" Jack way more than "Future" Jack.
I think Kate has adjusted well in the future and has finally stopped running.

well they show that in the previews...some get off the island, some do not (and then they flash to sayid)...
my take on kate acting like that is something really bad went down...and she wants to move on with her life and forget about the island...and seeing jack doesn't allow her to do that.

so then you think that jack has essentially morphed into john.. where he gave up the science part and is now a man of faith.. specifically in the island.. interesting..
i agree that jacks downward spiral is sad.. but i feel like there is so much more to make kate walk away.. shes no rose herself..
You guys probably won't find this funny unless you played the find815 game the last month or so, but one of the "fake" companies involved in the search for the Black Rock using Alvar Hanso's logbook is:
At first I didn't even pay attention to the script at the bottom of the screen. Then I realized that some of them had useful information so I tried to pay attention.
I did not know that the doctor that was going to operate on the woman in the wreck when Jack was going to jump had the same last name as Bernard. That last name is "Nadler." I don't think I even know Bernard's last name. However, I usually tried to check out the Easter Eggs after each show and I don't remember seeing one about that. Anybody else?
Also, I don't think Kate decided to quit running. I think that those that returned were somehow "bought off" to keep their mouths shut about what happened. Kate probably got to change her identity or something to stay out of trouble. That is also one reason why Jack feels so guilty. He was bought off. Just a theory.
The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi
i'm pretty sure the producers and writers will not cheat us of an hour or episode due to the writer's strike.
i didn't watch much of the reairing last night, just the last 30 mins so i could watch the charlie part again and then the future jack. the episode ended and i still had the same questions i did 8 months ago - what does jack mean when he wants to stop lying? why is future kate driving a volvo when future jack is pill popping? who is the "he" that kate needs to get home to? who died and why does jack want to go to the funeral and kate seems really disturbed at the fact that jack thinks she would go? i could probably list 100 of these...
question (which i cannot take credit for, it was in the boston globe's non-spoiler review) - are the flash-forwards really flashbacks, too? is the show's real present tense still ahead of us?
also (and this is my question to piggyback off the above question), when does the flash-forward from the finale of season 3 take place? might that take place real time in season 5 and then season 6 is jack actually locating the island and going back?
after last night's repeat i was still slighly aggravated (but in a good way) that we won't have answers for at least another 3 YEARS.

.
I don't think so...remember Benry showed Jack video of the Red Sox winning the 2004 World Series. (The Boring Broadsheet should have picked up on that, the Herald would have.)

yep, i know the answers to none of those. only timeline i know (and forget where i heard it) is that the flash forward from last night is two years after they're off the island.
and let's not forget wtf is going on with jack's father...is he dead or isn't he?!
and let's not forget wtf is going on with jack's father...is he dead or isn't he?!
Jack brought him back from the island and takes him to the hospital with him every day and props him up at his desk or in the Operating Room Weekend at Bernies style. Nobody else in the hospital, not even Las Vegas' Mike Cannon has the nerve to say anything.

lol. i think you're onto something!
seems to be about the only scenario that makes sense!
oh the other thing.. before cloverfield they had a trailer for season 4... and they showed hurley surrounded by a bunch of grave markers.. hmmmmm.. whos dyin??
I'm pretty psyched about this premiere. I don't usually watch live tv anymore, but I'm feeling the need to do that tonight. It's gonna be nice to get re immersed in the crazy, unpredictable environment that is Lost.

i didn't watch much of the reairing last night, just the last 30 mins so i could watch the charlie part again and then the future jack. the episode ended and i still had the same questions i did 8 months ago - what does jack mean when he wants to stop lying? why is future kate driving a volvo when future jack is pill popping? who is the "he" that kate needs to get home to? who died and why does jack want to go to the funeral and kate seems really disturbed at the fact that jack thinks she would go? i could probably list 100 of these...
question (which i cannot take credit for, it was in the boston globe's non-spoiler review) - are the flash-forwards really flashbacks, too? is the show's real present tense still ahead of us?
also (and this is my question to piggyback off the above question), when does the flash-forward from the finale of season 3 take place? might that take place real time in season 5 and then season 6 is jack actually locating the island and going back?
after last night's repeat i was still slighly aggravated (but in a good way) that we won't have answers for at least another 3 YEARS.
and let's not forget wtf is going on with jack's father...is he dead or isn't he?!
seems to be about the only scenario that makes sense!
