Do you like Van Basten?? What do you think of players doing that when a crucial Euro 2008 qualifier against Bulgaria is to be played? I don't know anything about the situation but it seems sad when there is such important games, isn't it forget the wrangles for now and get qualified?!

Nope, I don't like vBasten. vBasten is an asshole, he said:

"We have no trust in vBommel and vNistelrooij" and

"We don't think we need them in this qualification matches" and

"vNistelrooij doesn't show enough at Real Madrid" and

"vBommel didn't impress us with Barcelona" (They didn't even play a match)

This is what he said after the WC, before the friendly against Ireland.

Then after 3 poor matches and a couple of injuries he want the players back, and they had already some wrangle before the WC and at the WC. I think they made a good point to not return to this man.

I think when these players from injuries come back, that he will drop vBommel and vNistelrooij as soon as possible. But that isn't needed now.

Did he publically come out and say that ?
"We have no trust in vBommel and vNistelrooij"

That isn't good coaching, i don't really blame the players in that case then!

Did you see Van Persie's 2nd goal for Arsenal at the weekend? my god it was blindin' :)

We only have France to play haha

Yes, he said the publically otherwise I didn't know that.
Well, I said it before that vBasten isn't a good coach. But he don't have to leave in my opinion, because they won so far all their matches after the WC. But if Holland loose of Bulgarian it will be very hard for vBasten to stay.

Yeah what a brilliant goal by vPersie. Wow, I can't do that :D

Yup he said it and he used him like a yoyo. In out in out. Finally van Bommel said fuck you.

I don't blame van Bommel at all, a poll on a Dutch football site shows that 87% of the people that voted pro van Bommel.

It depends on how you describe result. Yes he qualified for the WC, but he plays very crappy and he had a lot of luck. Against real oposition it was clear that this Dutch national team have no real chance of winning a cup.

Yeah, Van Basten is pretty ignorant. Both V Bommel and V Nistelrooy belong in the Dutch team - not guys like Babel (not at the moment...).

BTW - Gomes played pretty good in the away match in Heerenveen...what a goallie!!

Gomes is a fantastic goalkeeper, I thought he played around the 95 matches for PSV and he has already 52 times a cleansheet.

The super-dooper world classic Boca Juniors VS. River Plate this Sunday, in River's stadium "El Monumental."

I, of course, hope Boca wins :p

    In other sports news...
dammit! Argentina lost against Australia for the 1st position of the group in the Field Hockey World Cup, and now we'll have to face Holland in the semis instead of the finals. The Arg. vs. Holland game has become a classic in field hockey. And it's a tough match... we're returning champions, I wonder if we'll win it again? Looks very unlikely...but who knows? :) Anyway...that was my random, football unrelated, old tea partying lady rant of the day :D
