    coolness.

Yeah, I just realized he did give his name there...but it seems somehow I will always refer to him as the "Joga Bonito dude" :p hehehe.

He's a legend in England and very well known in all Europe but the fact that he never played in a World Cup is what stopped him from being a world wide phenomenon like Ronaldo or Zidane imo.

Perhaps, but he was a UNITED legend, and that alone counts for major name recognition on a global basis. They may not be the winningest team around right now, but they're certainly the most recognizable.

Of course, the number of fans they have worldwide has been reduced a bit lately, since so many have hopped onto the Arsenal, and then Chelski bandwagon.

Yes, and that's a perfectly good reason to snap after an 18-year career (and a chance to win a 2nd World Cup winner's medal) and disgrace your name, your legacy, your country, and your team.
  • Well done, Scotland (tips hat again). It's the games you SHOULD have won that have been trouble in the past, so it's good to see them dispatch such teams now.

I don't think he cares about his own name, he's done more than any player could for their country and his legacy can't really be erased and if his entire team was really counting on him for a win then they should look at themselves for the loss as well.
  • 13-0.

That was f-ing classless of Germany right there. Lehmann ran up to take the penalty. Totally uncalled for. The score is enough of an embarassment, no need to rub it in further.
